Lady Cat Ceremony

Hello and welcome to the thread for the Lady Cat Ceremony. For those who might be unaware earlier this month prominent W101C and Wizened Wizards member @Lady Cat died. She was a much beloved member of the community and to help honor her I was asked to host a ceremony/memorial service for her in W101 in the same vein as my annual 9/11 ceremonies. I've thought about it for a while and have decided to host a Lady Cat Ceremony in her honor.

The Premise

The premise to honor Lady Cat and remember all the kind things she did to help out the community.

What We'll Do

We'll march around Wizard City on foot, starting from Golem Court, and eventually ending in in my Forested Mansion house, where we'll give speeches and thoughts on the Ceremony and more importantly on Lady Cat herself. The realm for this event is Seraph.

The Path

Golem Court -> The Fairegrounds -> The Commons -> Ravenwood -> Pet Pavilion -> Unicorn Way -> Hedge Maze -> Nightside -> Shopping District -> Olde Town -> Triton Avenue -> Haunted Cave -> Forested Mansion/Royal Playhouse.
The reason it's just the free-to-play areas is so that more people can attend and participate in every major aspect of the event for longer than they could otherwise.

Rules

• Mounts are forbidden in this event, with the only exception being if you get lost from the group & need to catch up, but you must dismount once you’ve done so (don’t use this as an excuse to continue using your mount during the event).
• For outfits dressing in all Black or White at least for the Base is preferred. The Trim can be any color you want, though I would prefer if it was a dark or light color like Dark Purple or Grey for example.
• Pets should be cats or cat themed like a Fire Cat or Leopard, or at the very least something resembling life and remembrance like a Seraph or Pixie Queen. Badges follow the same rule.
• No rude, mean or otherwise disrespectful behavior.
• All standard rules apply (you may say your community name in-game though, as I don’t see a problem with that).
• Stay with the group as much as you can.
• Listen to me and my Helpers, though helpers aren’t allowed to abuse their position to bully and/or harass other players.
• Anyone can come to this event regardless if they have an account on a particular social media site. If they don’t have an account there and/or are just unaware of this event in general then just make sure that they’re aware of the rules ahead of time.
• If some of us get caught in a battle then we wait until they’re done (this was a problem for the first year where some of us got caught and the rest of the group went on ahead, causing confusion).
• You must have access to each of the areas in the path(s).
• At least have Text Chat so you can hear what everyone is saying.
• If you would like to speak then please say so so I can add you to the Guest Speakers list, and be sure to include your character name as well. This way it’s all organized as to who speaks and who doesn’t. Having at least Text Chat is a requirement to be a Guest Speaker.
• Have fun.

Why Am I Hosting This?

I know it may seem surprising I'm hosting this given my concerns about no one showing up. While I still have those concerns I figured I might as well try to host this and do my part to honor her. Plus this would also let me see whether I was right to be concerned or not.

Extra Notes

This event more than any I've done will require people to show up to give their thoughts on Lady Cat. It's not much of a memorial service if very few people show up to honor her.

I also will need some volunteers to help me with keeping everything under control; about 2-3 or so Helpers should be enough for this, so if you're interested in helping me out, either post here or send me a VM or a PM.

For Guest Speakers, they will go up to the podium and say a few words about the date to the crowd. Once they're done, if there's still enough time left (and if people aren't getting too impatient about it as well), then we'll see if non-registered Guest Speakers can come up to the podium and speak. Send me a VM, PM or post here if you're interested in becoming a Guest Speaker for this event.

The end of the event is being hosted at my house so that everything can be controlled better. Having it in a public location is nice and all but it’s too easy for trolls to come in and just ruin everything. By having this hosted in my house I can help limit that as best I can by ultimately kicking people who try to act up.

I know some might think I'm being disrespectful by hosting this kind of event, but I'm honestly not trying to be. I just mean to honor the memory of a beloved community member and what she meant to it.

Finally if you'd like to take pictures and/or videos of this event then please feel free to do so as well. Just make sure you credit me for this event if you use them elsewhere.

I'm going to do my very best to try and attend this. I have a prior arrangement that starts at 3pm CST so I can't make promises, but I'll do what I can to make it in time.

Thank you for your time and effort on these @Flash33 ; I know it's a lot of work and not many people usually attend these kind of events anymore (myself being a culprit). But I do really appreciate it; seriously, thank you.
