Rat Spin Crafting

Hello, Wizard101 Central
I am considering getting Rat Spin on my life. He is level 120
I have a few questions:
How viable is the crafting option?
And how are the drop rates for spellements from King Boar? (I know that I would need to get 35 of them to learn the spell.
Which one do you find to be easier?
Any tips related to those questions is much appreciated.

I crafted it. I've never had good luck with spell drops, so that's my default. I did this on an alt, so I didn't have access to my main account's hoard of supplies and was basically starting from scratch.

The three hardest parts (depending on your reagent stock)

Amber: Wilt and revive Ultra King Parsleys. It's hard to get your initial ones, but once you do, you'll have more than you can use. It's time consuming, so make sure you get all the likes for the normal KPs to get them to ultra as soon as possible.

Agave: This one is a doozy. First, always check the bazaar to see if you can snag a couple. Beyond that (and, of course, lovingly asking friends if they have any to spare), run around the Aerial Jungle and realm hop. Hopefully there's a double reagents member benefit soon.

The TCs: You're honestly better off farming CPs/gold to buy empowers and then buying them on Central. The prices have gone down, so it's actually not as crazy expensive as it was when the spell first came out. I wouldn't bother farming for the rakustar TCs themselves, because the drop rate is painful (at least, it was at Loremaster).

Totally worth it, though. I love my little squirrel.

Ratspin tc is hard to come by even if you have the empowers for it because even though there are TC Sellers available, they're so quickly and frequently asked for that they often don't have any or they're saving them for others (This is how I got my Ratspin TC long ago except I think I paid a single Elucidate? something like that). However, RatSpin tc drops rarely from King Borr but you would need a bunch of wooden/stone keys which itself is a whole different problem. Anyhow getting the tc is pretty difficult. Farming the tc for Ratspin through Loremaster is probably only slightly less rare than getting the spell itself but my friend got RatSpin through Loremaster not too long ago so it is possible.

Crafting it requires a crazy amount of Agave Nectar. You could ask members here if they have any to sell but it's highly risky since Agave Nectar is highly wanted by players other than yourself, that might snatch them before you get a chance (I don't have any personally, never recovered from crafting the spell myself).To get Agave Nectar somewhat easily is Realm Jumping in Mangrove Marsh where the toucan dudes are, in the far left side where the waterfalls are, there's Agave Leaves...

Droprates in King Borr are basically nonexistant lol You'd have to be fairly lucky to even get a single Ratspin Spellement in my experience... getting enough to just learn the spell through that is in my opinion not a good idea based on the sheer amount of keys necessary (but at the same time, is the easiest if you somehow get the 30 RatSpin Spellement drop though extremely rare)


Hmmm I would say Crafting is easiest but they're all very difficult lol

I got 6 when I was running through the Abandoned House, watched a Life player cast and told him, that I'd love to craft the spell, so after we defeated the King, I friended him and he traded me 6 tc rat spins.

I spent 399 crowns each on about 5 Grizzleheim Lore packs and picked up one additional tc of rat spin, plus 1 reagent form of it, plus 3 hammer of thor cards.

Thanks to everyone for your input. I now realize crafting the spell is not an attainable goal within the next few years, so I will have to try my luck with King Boar. Loremaster was never an option because of her insanely large drop pool.
I have several wooden keys and I'd also be willing to do team up with the boss if anyone else has wooden keys and would like to farm with me (I hear the wooden key boss has a higher spellement drop rate than the others)

Upon doing a few runs of King Boar this morning I got a few Rat Spin TC and a couple Grendel's amends TC but only one Rat Spin spellement.
Hopefully I can trade a Grendel's amends TC for Rat Spin TC. Not sure what the exchange rate is on those lol.
