      Weather (Percipitation) in houses!

Another simple concept: Weather in Houses

Maybe deep in the cities in Lemuria, there's an NPC that provides a crafting recipe that isn't too difficult that creates special gardening machines that would create complex machines that could generate different types of weather or a special tune: the function of these housing items is that they will produce a single gardening spell for your plants without you spending energy, practically automated gardening system. There could be one that creates rain clouds, one that create mini suns, one that creates gardening magic... etc. In other words, it's a permanent version of the gardening spells that keep plants with water/suns/pollination/magic/music that requires no energy to use. I think this could be the next step in expanding gardens to the way players can envision because if they could use these machines for some gardens, then they could use the energy they saved for other gardens in other houses they have or use that energy on other activities like fishing/pet-training. This also makes it much easier for advanced players to maintain their gardens because it will make it impossible to miss taking care of a plant as the machine will simply do it for them automatically.

A lingering problem in this game is that too many things require energy, making it difficult to do various activities players want to do. For a lot of players, gardening takes up most of players energy because it is something players are responsible for almost daily and gardening spells take up a lot of energy. But these machines could solve that problem by creating weather that takes care of plants for you!

      Re: Weather (Percipitation) in houses!

Love the idea of upgrading gardening. This feature of Wizard101 has gone way to long without some sort of upgrade. In my opinion we need new seeds (like 1 or 2 added for every new world), new levels (I'm tired of being stuck at Verdent for the last 8 years) and some new ways to care for our plants.

I like the idea of these crafted weather-makers. I could see where this would be a cool feature in the castles. Some little machine that snoots and snarls when activated, then blasts a weather event across a large area of your castle. Could really be cool! Since energy and refilling energy is a moneymaker, I'm not convinced KI would go for this though. Could you craft the weather machines and be gifted weather tokens by some of the new seeds? So my thought here is we get some new seeds (and maybe some older seeds get a revamp) and you take care of them as usual using your energy. Then at your mature harvest, you have the chance (as KI loves to tell us) to receive a weather token that can be placed into the machine to assist us the the maintenance of our seeds. The tokens could be rain, sun, magic, bees and music or quite possibly something new. Maybe there's even the super rare COVERALL token that provides all the needs at once. You could do the same with the pest spells.

I think your on to something here and gardening really needs the attention.

I love this idea and its potential.

As far as the energy issue,I have long thought we needed separate energy globes for gardening, fishing and pet training. That is an issue that has long been discussed and sadly ignored by "The powers that be".

      Re: Weather (Percipitation) in houses!

Great idea, but I do have several questions:
Is the NPC crafting vender going to be locked behind a quest wall?
Is there going to be a limit on the quantity in the houses like we have with the seed/gear vaults?
Or they could make the treasure cards for tending all indoor or outdoor plants be learnable and not be behind a paywall.
I do agree with @Pegasus Unbound regarding the energy globe being separate from the other activities it is used for like how our health and mana globes are only for combat.

Hmm I would think that such a ability would be blocked behind a quest wall, it's really just what kind of quest would be behind it. Maybe it could be a quest from Khrysalis but the player has the inability to go to Lemuria without help from a friend who's gone to the world, or maybe it's blocked by a quest from Lemuria. That would make this contraption very limited to a small population of players but admittedly this would be something significant enough to be a good reward for players that have made it that far.

Hmm a limit would be interesting but it also significantly reduce the amount of potential these machines could have. If there were multiple machines possible, a player wouldn't have to spend a single energy on energy (or just use energy to rid of pests). But if only one machine were allowed, then it wouldn't be that much help as the player would only be saving maybe at most maybe 50 (just a round about number considering different amounts of plot squares)

The tending all indoor and outdoor plants would help but still isn't perfect since different plants need different needs sometimes. The machines would be a lot more specific with what plants would need rather than combining indoor and outdoor which may not help very much in some circumstances...

This is a great idea. All of my plants on my ice and balance require music, so a machine that could keep the music need away for free would really help in freeing up more energy for other activities. A question that wasn't asked that I have is if it could be traded or not as trading such machine would be handy for those who want to use it on their lower level wizards to save energy.

      Re: Weather (Percipitation) in houses!

There is definitely a need to upgrade many areas of the hobbies we enjoy doing in Wiz, especially in gardening! It would be AMAZING if we could incorporate weather in our houses that could affect how we garden. If anything I'd love weather patterns to be built into houses, such as the Red Barn Farm having a Tornado occasionally run through it. Tornados typically bring rain, wind, and patches of sunshine, so gardening near the Tornado could satisfy plant needs.

Maybe even crafting a weather machine could be an option, or having a more dedicated area for gardening like the pet pavilion would be nice for expanding gardening options/training/crafting, etc.

There's a whole opportunity of creativity here, and I'm all for it if it makes our lives easier by: saving energy, reducing pests/needs, and yielding better rewards. Those 3 factors should be top of mind when approaching a revamp of the current system.

      Re: Weather (Percipitation) in houses!

And then we just need villagers to come harvest the farm for us... cause otherwise I think it's kinda pointless, since we'd still have to go in and harvest, and it doesn't take much time to do the gardening spells, yeah, it costs energy, but gardening shouldn't be free...
IDK, I feel like we should have to spend energy on gardening. After they added the Plant All Seeds spell, gardening doesn't even take that much time. You can literally just spend 5 minutes every few days on a garden, or every day if they're ultras, and then when you're not there the plants will be growing and producing for you. I don't think it's necessary. The only other things are fishing and pet training, and you can just wait to do those, or...
BUY MORE ENERGY WITH CROWNS, YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! (Why KI won't be super hyped about the idea I don't think).
      But a cool idea anyway.

While I love this idea, I unfortunately can only envision it being a crown item, and cost crowns to use but a brilliant idea nonetheless.

It's too much of a dig at their energy profits; Even with limited use, they'd have to profit from it somehow.
