Allow me to revive this thread. I have gardened many different seeds over the years, from Red Grapes of Wrath, Sour Fickle Pickle, Dead Beets, Fish on a Vine, Deadly Helephant Ears, Pink Huckleberries, Jewel Blossoms, Maelstrom Snap Dragons, Evil Magma Peas, Ivy League, Sword Ferns, Honey Sickle, Boiled Peanuts, and more recently: Fickle Pickle, Sunions, and Frozen Fly Traps.
They are all stacked, and spread out through various house types. I have one decorative type garden that I am growing in a life house, where I am trying to 'Second Spring' each different type of seed available. I have seen some amazing, creative stuff. Me personally though, it is mostly utility, and looks the part!
Every one of my characters has a garden of sorts scattered across various houses, but all have a RBF. Several gardens are stacked, most are not and mainly all are planted to act as an ATM for snacks needed in pet training or reagents needed in crafting. I'm not real dedicated anymore in tending to them all regularly since I have an ample supply of snacks and reagents stocked away.
Only one of my wizards gardens now; my main wizard (death). He has 2 plots set up in the Red Barn Farm. Each plot is diamond shaped; 2-4-6-6-4-2 in each direction. Both plots are evil magma peas. Both plots have an egg basket, djembe drum and a gnome. They both used to have a boom shroom, but I got rid of that some time ago. I'm not in a rush. This is just enough to keep my shared banks completely full and supply snacks for any pet projects I may decide to do.

Finding that one pest that you wanna get rid of in a 60+ plot (maybe you accidently ported to your garden because you forgot to unequip your house a couple hours into tending) is incredibly nerve-wracking because more likely than not, its in the middle of the plot and blocked by other plants. I'd say that's both lucky and good, mini plots are nice like that.
Signature created by Expelliarmus in Blue Nouveau Designs, thanks!

In recent times I have been planting Red & Pink Huckleberries for the Pagoda and Youkai Bonzai housing items. I'm also growing Boom Shroom, Tiger Lily and Dandelion gardens for basic reagents like Cat Tail, Stone Block, Mist Wood, & Deep Mushroom because the Bazaar is nearly always empty. If anyone knows better plants for those reagent I'd love to know!?! I am also tending to Rotten Beets for Darkmoor Thornflowers too.
