What is your favorite area in Wizard City and why?

Lately I've been interested in interacting with community members by asking questions to spark discussions. I enjoy reading other people's perspectives and learning more through that.

In a previous post, I asked what world in the Spiral dispenses the most nostalgia. Not surprisingly, Wizard City received the most votes in the poll.

I wonder what everyone's favorite areas are in Wizard City. And if you want a real challenge, I'm curious if you can come up with an answer that isn't the Commons or Unicorn Way. (:

It doesn't have to be a legitimate area -- maybe the library is the place that you find most comforting.

I'm not a storm wizard, but I think one of my favorite areas in Wizard City has to be Triton Avenue. I have so many memories questing there with my friends years ago, and meeting awesome people when I had just started questing around the Spiral. I also simply love the ambiance of it. I love the streams of water and the waterfalls. I also remember it used to be super exciting to spawn the Kraken in that special area at Triton Avenue across from the waterfalls.

If I had to pick a second-favorite area, I'd say Golem Court! I know that's super surprising and seemingly random, but it's where our adventure began. I remember getting excited battling through the levels of the tower, and how rewarding it was to get to the top (despite the lack of experience given for that quest). I also enjoy the presence of the gardening teacher there, and the secret cave for fire wizards.

Favorite Area is probably Sunken City. The improved graphics of Sunken City after the Wizard City update is amazing.

That's a tough one. I'd say it's a toss-up between Triton Avenue and Dragon's Mouth cave. The former because despite the constant rain and darkened skies it actually seems pretty peaceful honestly. The latter because it's a nice little hideaway that's fairly remote and private as barely anyone ever goes there outside of two side quests (one for Pyromancers and one in Dragonspyre).

No doubt about it for me; it's School of Death, Sunken City and Darkmoor. I grew up on old b&w scary movies- Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, Mummy...all the greats, so my love of the macabre, gloomy, shadowy, foggy scary places only grows in these places.

I took some time to think about this one.

Keep in mind, I started playing long before there were even pets

. If you eliminate Unicorn Way from the list (Which is where we meet a friendly face in the garden for the first time), I would have to say Cyclops Lane.

Not for being a happy memory, but rather for the snot-nosed kid who bosses us around and trying to take credit for our work.

But yeah, Unicorn Way was a nice way to get started and as I said, a friendly face at the end.

My favorite area is probably the Commons because I get to meet so many new players.

When I'm exploring our game by myself though, I will take the farthest most mysterious place I can find and roam around. I love getting lost deep in dungeons or other areas that few dare to adventure

I would have to say the space behind the waterfall that leads to the death school. I have always enjoyed the mystery and possibilities of that spot.

I love Ravenwood. The various schools and towers and Trees surrounding Bartleby - the emblem of Wizard City!

Hmmm, I'd have to go with the Bazaar. I think I've spent more hours in there than the rest of the game combined. I may or may not have a shopping problem. :D

I really like all of Wizard City though, with each area having its own unique experience. Really well done.
