Well if they're willing the cut the prices by ~90%, then maybe they could be willing to reduce them by 99%? Specifically, reduce the 50k Gold option by 98.958333% permanently and get rid of the other options.
At 250 Crowns, this would actually be a nice (and finally not overpriced) instant alternative to farming Halfang, Only Halfang, and Definitely Not Anyone From Mirage or Later for gold.

THIS is why I say that KingsIsle's marketing team is predatory. Nobody except the young, new Players in Wiz will ever consider buying Gold for Crowns. This "sale" directly takes advantage of their innocence, and that is simply inexcusable. Shame on Kingsisle for actively promoting such abusive marketing practices!
There was a right way to go about this sale, and there was a wrong way. As other Players both in this thread and others have suggested, Gold should never sell for more than 500 Crowns.
