Another idea is to give it similar treatment to Mana Burn where it is classified as a manipulation spell instead of a damage spell. That way it could no longer be enhanced with damage or accuracy enchants.

The damage could be scaled back, but I'd argue not quite as much as some people are suggesting. It's a bit unique compared to just about any other damage spell in that its "side effect" of aura destruction is also a requirement for it to work at all: The target needs to have an aura active to be destroyed, otherwise the spell does no damage. This may be less of a caveat specifically in PvP where auras seem to be the current meta though.

I'd say if they kept it classified as a damage spell the damage could be scaled back more, but if they made it a manipulation spell instead the damage could be left higher.
