      First time doing this one and every run has been pretty bad so far. There's no good blade buffs(I'm aware of) which makes it a nightmare for a team of randoms. Also, is it just me or do they hit harder?

      Decided to give the Mayhem another chance. It's actually really enjoyable when you have plenty of time. There were some times that the team lost the Spiral fight by running out of health rather than the timer running out, and it felt much, much better to lose that way. Which brings me to saying something that I've said perhaps a dozen times today alone: Get rid of the timer, please. I don't mean "add a few more minutes to it," no, that doesn't solve the issue. It isn't that the event is too difficult, it's that the timer makes the entire event unfun. The way combat is handled in the Beastmoon events is incredible, I love it so much, but a time limit does not have any place in a game as slowly-paced as Wizard101. It's stressful. Communication, teamwork, and card synergies (of which is a big reason why the Beastmoon system is so great!) are all punished because you have to pick a card now. The only time to really plan these things out without being in a voice call is to chat during animations, and then your plans could change if you happen to draw certain cards. Every second you spend not picking a card is a second lost to the entire team, and now you're being too slow. How dare you. It's just really horrible.

      I'm guessing the best first cast would be the Medusa (south) or Confounding Fiend (west) as they're a 150-250 damage AoE with the occasional upside. Phalanx (east) is also nice, and the Pips Fairy (north) seems like a decent heal. What I really like about this set of cheat-casts is that they are much less counterable by the enemy, whereas in the Elemental Mayhem you could put up the AoE blade only to run into a Krok AoE that demolishes the entire team, for example.

      Definitely. I've seen 2-pip 250 hits from all three Spirit schools. Myth enemies have the Myth Rat's powerful Ifrit AoE. Balance enemies seem to be the same as they were in the Celestia map, which makes it kinda weird that there are sea creatures out in the middle of Mirage lol.

      I warned a while ago about the risks of allowing groups in BM and how they would disadvantage solo players. And today it happened.

      I just ended the most despicable run i ever had.

      So, I found myself in a group of five people with average skills and knowledge. There was one storm wolf bossing others around, and well, you can imagine how I was reacting to it when he'd speak to me in the same way :D

      The thing is, they were playing bad.

      And yeah, we managed to finish wave three - barely, we had 2 seconds left when the round ended - but that's mostly because people were playing fast and didn't disperse too much.

      For the rest, don't even know where to start.

      Wrong enemies to kill, wrong actions from the team who would die silly deaths, wrong order in the outside battles for cards, the bossy kid blabbering orders around that made little sense...

      And the bad part, the other guys were giving reasons why he would be right to behave so or should be forgiven to do so.

      So there I am, feeling very lonely in a game where I usually get mixed results, yes, but can find at least one or two decent people in a round to have a decent chat with, for want of better. I honestly prefer that to a win with such people as those.

      I guess I need an option to skip groups, or I'll end up skipping this event all along like deckathalon if it happens too often... Bleah.

      Lol - if this is the most despicable run you've ever had - one that you ended up WINNING - then you've lived a charmed life indeed. Imagine run after run where you lose because the bossy kid costs you a hard earned win? Or the runs which devolve into shouting and name calling? Or people just give up, or intentionally throw the match.

      I can certainly feel your frustrations, but for me winning takes a little of the edge off.

      And speaking of winning...for the second straight Mayhem, NO ONE is getting any Beastmoon Event win credits. The good news is that at least the wins count was Beastmoon wins, but seems really hard to understand why they can't figure out Mayhem wins.

      As to the enemies - love it. Agreed that the Myth hit hard, and it's annoying that the Balance minion has to be killed, and the death guys healing is a real pain, but at least none of them are as OP as that Storm Squid. And change is good.

      I personally really like the group feature, just because playing with 3-4 guaranteed others makes it much easier to coordinate and strategically upgrade forms. Lunari are pretty hard to get outside of the scroll or event (unless you play and win a ton of matches), so it's usually pretty hard to just get 1 to the highest upgrade, let alone 2-3 in case someone takes your preferred one. Also easier to ensure you have a good balance of supports/healers/hitters, as I often end up with a team of all smaller forms in randoms (which makes it all but impossible to win certain matches).

      Seems like most of the good teams I luck into more randomly do have a bit of setup with other people grouping with friends, etc. though. Solos are definitely disadvantaged by virtue of the model for regular BM and not necessarily MM, but I don't really know a good way that could be fixed. Making everyone random would just make win odds quite a bit more random and scattered, as communication with menus, limited chat, etc. just makes a lot of people leave or throw.

      Groups are the best <3

      I am surprised central dose not have a thread or 3 on team ups for these events.

      I just started doing this event and really had no idea what to do, but was able to get a team that actually knew what they were doing.
      First wave went in groups of 2 and took out the dudes fast then 4 joined the last group while the other 2 looked for the time flower that gives 2 more mins.
      4 did spiral while other 2 looks for the Medusa card circle. Beating that sends an aoe to spiral. Also did the blade one after that.
      Wave 2 we went in groups of 3, than 4 for last while extras found time flower again. Same spiral strat.
      Did the same thing for wave 3 as in 2, but someone lost connection so we didn't get the aoe or other spiral boosts like needed to beat the thing.
      Worked really well. I think if the last person had not lost connection and spiral had the boosts, it would have gone epic.
