It's that time of the year again! Join us as we celebrate this year’s Winter Holidays with amazing contests, games, competitions, and a whole lot of fun!

THIS IS A WINTER HOLIDAY DECORATING CONTEST

So everybody put your creative hats on and get decorating!

Just a reminder that this is a DISCUSSION THREAD. Only questions, comments, and concerns should be posted here. NO ENTRY POSTS ON THIS THREAD.
All entries must be posted on the ENTRY THREAD to be considered valid.





~ Your entries must be done by you and only you. Any entries found stealing someone else's work is subject to AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.

~ You must create/decorate a winter holiday/festive themed dorm or Arcanum apartment.~ Glitches will be allowed and there will be no item limit.

~ The castle "magic" features, camera zoom ins/outs, and advanced housing movement will be allowed as you desire.

~You must provide at least 5 screenshots. You may provide more screenshots if you wish, but no more than 10.

~ At least one of the screenshots provided MUST show your wizard name and the decorating options in order to show that the dorm/apartment is yours.

~ At least one of the screenshots provided MUST also show your chat box with your Wizard101 Central username typed as shown in the example below:



~ This contest will run until December 30th, 2020. Any entries posted after 11:59 PM Eastern on December 30 will be considered invalid.




First Place Prize - Candied Isle Bundle

Second Place Prize - 20,000 Crowns

Third Place - 10,000 Crowns + SweetCitrus Bear Pet

Fourth Place - 5,000 Crowns + White Stag Mount

Fifth Place - 3 Yule Logger Packs + 3 Winterland Packs

I tried posting my entry to the entry thread Sat night and again on Sun. I saw on Sun that a message popped up and said something about I wouldn't be able to see my post until... but the message was on the screen so briefly I couldn't read much of it.

Do entries have to be approved before they appear? Are they all going to be posted to the thread at one time? Thanks.

There are a few possible reasons why your post isn't going through. Check out this post I made for reasons why, and potential solutions!
If I were to guess, you used a seemingly innocent string of words that triggered the auto-filter. You can either wait for the Mods to edit that section out and approve it, or try posting once more.

Hey! I'm sorry that wasn't clarified on the OP. Yes, it is on moderation. All entries will be approved once the contest ends!

I have a question regarding this rule. I of course understand that directly copying someone else's Dorm is wrong, but what about smaller details? I saw this combination of a Potted Fern and Red Dewberries in Castle Tours that I want to use, but would that qualify as plagiarism if I used that concept in a totally different dorm?

That should be fine, as long as it's done by you and you've used it in your own way
