Storm Titan boss fight completion issue

Hi all,

We're aware that players are having abnormal difficulty in completing the Storm Titan boss fight.

This is an issue we're looking into and hope to have a fix for it soon, though it will not be resolved this week. Please help us to let others know that they should avoid this quest in the meantime, unless of course they are able to still complete the challenge.

We will update you here once a fix is in place.

I've beaten him with 4 teams, death, fire, storm, and three life and a balance in the last week since this glitch began. Hadn't faced him before, lol, just my luck.

The Trident itself may even be a tiny scootch easier than the guides would suggest, but how would I know. Anyway, do a DoT for more than 30K each tick, and he's gone.

It's the minions.

They now spawn after each tick of damage to the Trident and instead of being rejected after the first round (because in subsequent rounds all the spots are full) they pile up, one after another after another in the slot next to the Trident. Kill the first one and the next one is right there waiting for you (3700 health over and over). I've counted at least six (probably eight) go right in from the center of the duel circle to that second place at his side.

It's even weirder in that some of your AoE attacks will hit that spot once, then twice, then a third (and fourth?) time, presumably killing one minion and those behind it in the same turn. If they don't kill, they may only hit the one in front.

Very strange and if you aren't ready for it you will run out of spells and reshuffles and just have to quit or wait to be defeated. I was down to my last, very last, damage spell with my fire team when I got the last one. Pure luck, if you ask me. But I know how to deal with it now and carry a LOT of extra damage TC's on one wizard just to deal with this issue.

It must be part of the new mechanic they added with the final Karamelle fight where those minions spawn right after getting defeated within the same round. Makes me feel like the Rat in Polaris may be affected by this too, since he may now be able to spawn minions the same round they are defeated, which shouldn't be the case. I'm not going to test that one though haha.

In all the times that I have run the Storm Trident with teams, this past Sunday was the time when Angus Ruby River had his turn.

Most of the team had to return 2 or 3 times after Mellori and Bat had alerted us that the Trident was ready to break.

What seemed like 50 rounds later, and about 6 groups of minions that we had to destroy; the team won and we went our separate ways battling the Aethyr Titan.

The last time we tried ( about 10days ago) , My team had several members who could not use any spells at all .One minion had 15 lives . Hence we failed badly. Lady cat says meow

I did a rat run earlier and there was no issue at all with the minions

Okay, another Trident run, another series of weirdnesses.

This time I had two deaths and two ices with one of the ices as hammer. The Trident beat me the first run with a sirens that knocked off a blade and a virulent plague that kept three more off my hitter. Result? Couldn't hit him thirty K and I quit and tried again.

Second time in the weirdnesses started. I got him with a snow angel and twelve blades, but it may have only hit him for two rounds of 30K, not sure, I was busy.

But with the first damage, the Titan healed him and spawned three minions, all according to Hoyle. No problem. With the first DoT tick, however, I got three more minions, all on the first position making it a stack of four. Great.

I confirmed this when I put a feint on that position. One feint went on, then another, another, another-total four, one for each stacked minion.
Four for one, what a deal! And when I had defeated two of them and put another feint on, it only spawned one extra feint, confirming the number I was still facing.

But there's more...

Sometime around when the Trident disappeared and I was left battling just the minions, two of my chars' target boxes disappeared as well, leaving me unable to buff them. They were my third and fourth wizards and everything was normal (I could still cast spells with them, they had not been defeated) they just didn't have a target box. I believe they came back at some point, but maybe not.

What a strange glitched battle!

I just want to say that i had a similar bug at yuletide feasting hall:

went to fight krampus lvl 50, and I hit minions with an aoe. Two of them died, one remained half alive at 4th slot.

Second slot was repopulated with a double minion, getting double pips every round. Once i killed the first, the second was right there at full health.

I thought of a strange server bug, but now that i read this thread, it seems to be related...
