Candy Corn Silo Forces Mini-Game

Hello,

I'm playing Karamelle through for the third time, which is why I think this is a bug, since I didn't encounter this the first two times. I may have also skipped over it by using Team-Up in the past, but there's a bit of a crowd at the sigil with everyone encountering the same issue and equally confused. Please correct me if this is indeed an intentional feature.

Trying to enter the Candy Corn Silo via the sigil in the Candy Corn Farm in Karamelle to complete the quest "What's the Farm?" will force you into playing Choo-Choo Zoo every single time without fail. The only way to actually progress, enter the silo to do the battles, and complete the quest is by playing the game. I have found one other mention of this here (from "Necromancer Chris"), but nowhere else. However, unlike him, I was able to complete the quest with no issues after Choo-Choo Zoo. Trying to cancel or exit the game instead of playing will send you back to the sigil.

This actually happened to me a couple of days ago on my fire wiz as well. It's my first time playing through the world. I cant remember how i got through it but i remember exiting out of the game. That's all i can recall about it.

I can appreciate KingsIsle trying to spice up their dungeons a bit by incorporating minigames, but we should only be forced into winning Choo-Choo Zoo once, during the quest! Leave the option to play it again later, but don't force Players into it.

I just encountered the same problem as I was questing through KM. If you fail the game you can at least go in the dungeon normally. A friend and I entered on the same sigil but had been sent to separate instances. If you're planning on doing it with friends you can have one person go in and have the rest of the players teleport to them.

I was questing through KM on another character about last week and did not encounter this issue. It must've started happening post-spellement hotfix.

not sure if the mini game is intentional or not, but you can skip it. click to play first, then once the game loads, click x to exit out. it will take you straight to dungeon. kind of annoying still but at least this way you don't need to play the mini game.

I don't think it is. The minigame already exists and has existed since the start of the game, the game isn't relevant to the Candy Corn farms at all, and its placement is awful. If you're going to add a minigame to any instance, you wouldn't be putting it at the very beginning where players are kept in the dark about their teammates until they've all completed the minigame. And then, you don't even need to win the game to proceed, so why even bother?

They could have added a minigame with releasing the Gobblers in this area, if they really wanted to add any puzzles. It seems like all their efforts to change up gameplay went to making us use some of their newer features (playing as your pet and the absolutely wonderful whoops-I-meant-to-press-X-how-do-I-get-out-of-this feature).

That happened to me as well. I mentioned it in another thread (I forget which) but I don't think I ever got an answer for it. I'm not even sure if it happened during test realm. I certainly didn't see any walkthroughs with it showing up nor mentions of the bug on test realm anyway

@Sparck, I haven't seen you comment on this bug yet, but I must say when I entered the Candy Corn Silo just now, the mini-game is actually pretty disorienting if you aren't expecting it.

Please let us know why this is happening.



PS - I failed on the top floor and used Dungeon Recall -- the first floor creatures were back. This is not right.
