Dear Andrew Firerider and Sir Reginald Baxby,

Here I am in January 2012, a transcended wizard who has successfully completed Zafaria (so good to see you there Sir Reggie!), having stumbled on your wonderful interview posted in 2010. I read every post---all 17 pages! I have a few comments and questions of my own:

For Andrew: Thank you! This was possibly—no, definitely—the best thing I have encountered on the Forum so far. Great idea, great questions. One question: of all the Wiz 101 characters you could have interviewed, what made you choose him? One of the best questions was “Do you have any questions for me?” That to me is the mark of a good journalist--- by asking that, you engaged Sir Reginald in a conversation and gave him the power to become something more than just a passive interviewee. I also admire your diligence in responding to the many people who posted. Wherever you are now Andrew, I hope you are putting these great traits to good use!

For Sir Reginald Baxby: Thank you! You gave me a glimpse into the world of game making, and I found it fascinating. Who knew there were so many specialized roles? One question: When you referred to “lost wizards who never returned”, did you already know the future Zafaria story line and your part in it? I was surprised and gratified to see your responses to so many wizards’ questions. In fact, I think you were enjoying the interaction (at least it seemed were having fun taking a peek out from behind the KI curtain and revealing yourself to us!) Wherever you are now---whether it is with KI or creating imaginary worlds for another company—I hope you are enjoying your work. How nice it must be to know that your “work” creates fun for so many!

For those wizards who way back in 2010 predicted a safari-themed world with Baxby in it-congrats!

For KI: The lively interactions between forum members and Sir Reginald in this thread show me that people have intense curiosity about what goes into game creation. It would be nice to make this kind of thing a regular feature.
