      The higher we go the more we are able to do compared to our lower leveled selves. More energy for the activities that require it just being one of them. To me, it's always been a tiny added bit of incentive to keep going higher. Why randomly stop here? What harm could continuing to increase our energy do? It's just going to be gobbled up in a flash anyway. I don't stack when gardening so it takes me around 70 energy to take care of my 24 plot Couch Potatoes. That's 70 energy gone within a minute. I don't really get that explanation.

      while i do prefer if energy did increase, i don't mind either way. in the end, it's only 10 energy and not the end of the world. 10 less energy really isn't that big of a deal. nothing worth getting upset over.

      Its not about the energy, its about the principle of the matter. KingsIsle is flagrantly flaunting their lack of morality, consistency, and principles yet again in their decision to not increase our energy, and so we all must continue the crusade against such poor choices here. I fear that deciding to let little things like this slide will lead to KingsIsle making even worse changes to the game (Something we have been seeing...), so that's why I will not give in!

      While I appreciate that the Dev's are sharing this information (too bad it's not directly on THIS site), the logic is almost painful to digest.

      That 1 energy = 1 minute of playing time - where in the world does that come from?!

      And how is THIS for confusing logic -



      WC mobs = KM mobs in stats?! REALLY? In what Spiral is that the case?

      Also, to the case that they haven't had any increases in pets - so not true! Used to be a pet leveled to Ancient @ 500, but back in March that was bumped to 525, and Epic went from 1000 to 1150 (I think?), and Mega went 2250 (or there abouts?). Are those not increases?

      And doesn't KI see that more energy = more participation in Gardening, Training, Fishing = more time spent in game?

      Regardless of whatever this fictional "energy sync" is, I really, really don't get why they feel they needed to change course from what they've been doing over the last few years. Used to be 1 energy for every TWO levels until level 100, then energy every level. That made sense - 130 level = 130 base energy. Easy. Why mess with that?

      Certainly not the worst thing KI has ever done - certainly not in the realm of how they've treated Derby, for example (had to get that in!) - but seems like a very odd decision that will only serve to annoy the people who are paying to play this game.

      @Caspeen Yea I agree. It seems that Matt seems to be comparing things that just are not comparable. You can't compare how many bones are in the body and the stock market. I think that this is a dangerous path to go down because of the reason stated above. The logic does not add up, at least at the surface.

      For a system (pets) that involves so much failure and energy consumption, it is baffling that our friends at KI would not try to throw us a bone.

      If our energy is forever capped at 130 I guarantee there will be mass upset. You can never seem to have enough energy for pet training at least. For us players who don't have vaults of Crowns at the ready, I feel like I am always waiting for it to refill. COME ON KI!

      If you train pets frequently, you can use up all your energy in less than 2 minutes now. The comparison really makes no sense with this alone.

      Honestly, with everything I have read and seen about Karamelle, it makes we wonder if Karamelle is the new Wizard City and the Old One the new Malistaire; with spellements added in.

      I have yet to enter Karamelle, but this is my observation so far, because I have been looking at the energy as a way of telling what level I am, so I didn't have to check the chat box or press C.

Was there literally a meeting where someone said "Wizards don't need any more energy at this point, since the mobs in the new world aren't that much harder and we don't want them wasting more game time just to use up energy they don't need" -- and then some other people agreed? No one in the meeting actually does any side activities that use Energy?

      I'd really like to hear from someone who was at that meeting, to elaborate on Matthew's comments.

      Ha! This whole debacle reminds me of a Dilbert strip. It is genuinely worrying to see such utter incompetency and poor decisions being spread into the game by KingsIsle- at some point, we are forced to ask ourselves "Do the Devs even play their own game??" Personally, I doubt that they do- why else would they ban Mutates in PvP, nerf the Hatching Kiosk to Oblivion, think that their "FTUE" is adequate, remove double seeds, etc. etc.

      I imagine their new marketing team and CEO have wielded their great influence to promote these setbacks, and that these meetings start off normal before they show up...
