As one that has been playing P101, this news is a bit depressing.
I had my balance and death stuck in the Notochord and about a week after deciding to spend crowns on opening up Cool Ranch for (sarcastic drum roll) 2295 crowns, Karamelle comes to Live.
I did discover by accident, that if you are a person that has a lower quality computer, and you are battling Le Penqoin, Quizzler or Medulla; that if you can click on a persons name in the chat box (hit enter key on keyboard) and click on the body of the wizard, that the card selection should appear for you.
In the spring of this year, I was able to get easy access to a supply of game cards for W101 that allowed me to gain 10K crowns, but after lockdowns and confusion, before Presidential elections; my local CVS stopped carrying the 20 dollar cards, so I have been at the mercy of doing daily quizzes or 100 crowns.
I will get there eventually, but the one good thing about buying zones with crowns, is that these areas are truly ours forever. Membership people will still have to buy new cards to continue playing where they left off.

Alrighty! So I finished Karamelle, and despite the super lame spells(Why KI, why) I quite enjoyed my time there. It really was a nice change of pace to not have some spiral threatening nonsense right out the gates, and those cabal members, especially the grunts, were just delightful. Also, their masks. I want it. Give me.
I still can't believe how gullible our wizard still is, falling for one of the oldest tricks in the book like that. Oh well, it was still pretty funny and that dude gets points for being smarter then 90% of the enemies we face.
The final battle also wasn't too difficult. I went in blind and it took me a while(beating them up) to figure out it's just your old beat all the minions before you can beat the boss type of battle. It's certainly more manageable for a team of randoms then the previous final bosses.
Out of the 5 wizards that have managed to get their Karamelle spells (I don't have Myth); only Sound of Musicology and Snack Attack are beneficial to how I play.
And as my Storm was doing his daily on my account, I stumbled upon the ability to use a Sharpened Blade upon Sound of Musicology and then received a +50 Storm Blade.
By the way, did you manage to upgrade any of your spells from Karamelle?

Haven't tried final boss yet, but what is up with judge veg? No rhyme or reason to polymorphs.
First wiz, cast blade rnd 1, got polymorphed. Spent rest of match as carrots. 2nd try, no blade first rnd. I think I attacked (aoe), no polymorph. match was easy, never cast a blade and never got morphed. I figured standard no blade boss.
Until my life wiz tried.
One morph after another, no matter what I did. Tried summoning minion, it got morphed not me. Had a few rounds to kill minion, knock the judge down to 3000 life. Then he stated using healing birds. And morphed me. When I unmorphed, he morphed me again same turn. Twice. Tried several more times. Morph city. Sometimes it lasted 15 rounds, sometimes less (once just 3 rnds).
Ridiculous cheats like that are just that - ridiculous. I ended up doing a team up and got past him finally. The only boss my life wiz has had to team up for so far. My storm and death wizards got through him solo.
I was enjoying the update, figuring out the cheats for some of the bosses and how to get around them. Bosses like judge veg ruin the experience.

So far, have upgraded storm, death, and life. Ice shouldn't be too long, has reached black licorice forest.
WarWeaver,
I read how you finished Karamelle, and was wondering if that included upgrading your Karamelle spells.

I actually kinda thought of this while farming the final boss. What if our evil twin is actually a future or alternate world version of us that went evil? That would actually be pretty cool, although I don't have any idea how or what would make us evil. Our shadow magic maybe since it's shadow school?
Wizards vs Bosses
While I did enjoy my time in Karamelle I'm starting to question if they actually want their players to craft the gear. I've gotten zero Karamelle Chunks from my playthrough, or the hours spent on bosses who I know drop them. There isn't even a recipe to craft the Chunk itself(That I know of) and you need about 100 in total to craft everything. I thought that since this gear came out after the dragoon gear while also not being superior it would be something your more casual player could craft. I guess not.![]()
