Can I recover I twice stitched item?

A year or two ago I crafted the Heart of Darkness wand, because I really like how it look - being a storm though, I stitched it onto my best storm wand. However I can no longer find my Heart of Darkness wand, and I fear I may have stitched ontop of it again, so now it has the appearance of one wand, and the stats of another, neither of the two being the Heart of Darkness.

Is it possible for me to double-unstitch and recover my HoD wand, or is it gone forever? Because I really don't wanna craft another!

Thanks @Expelliarmus for the avatar and siggy!

I didn't think it was possible to "double stitch" an item, as I seem to recall Eloise reminding me that an item was already a Stitch.
Did you check the Backpack Butler to verify that you don't have it hanging on a wall somewhere?

Maybe this will help. I found an old post from Prof. Greyrose on the Wizard101 Message Boards here:

      Hou to use stitch

And in that post, there is a link to this page under the Player's Guide, Clothing and Equipment:

      Clothing & Equipment - Seamstress

At the bottom of that page, it says this:

      * Please note, unstitching only extends to the most recent stitch. You will not be able to return to the first original items, so be careful as you stitch!
Dare to catch your best dreams and live them with eyes wide open. Sweet dreams always.
