Manage to hit the 3rd round so far
I actually had two runs last night that won. The first with 3 seconds left, and the second with 3 minutes left. Both random team ups![]()

Was this during the round 3 boss fight? What we are referring to occurs on the final boss fight of round 3.
The players you are are referring to are likely farming points for the weekly event, since you get extra points for "ring captures" and those are easiest/fastest on the outer edges of the first round during the first boss fight. Still not a good situation to have an incomplete spiral team formed (more likely to lose the fight).
Thanks all for the feedback. Sorry for the apparent issues. I've sent this to our team and hopefully we'll have some improvements in place for the next event.
"Hopefully"?
Not sure how others feel but I myself would rather this event NOT open if the 3rd boss rewards - loot and win - can be resolved. As it is now it creates some very awkward and sometimes outright hostile situations. Not only that, but in as noted above, people get "creative" with their strategies for the final rounds in hopes of ending up in the spiral at the conclusion and, in some cases, this can cost EVERYONE the win.
How I wish every day of the Mayhem event was like the last! During days 1 - 6 people are getting things figured out, lots of first timers, lots of players who haven't ranked up their forms, and, in general, a lot of really poor decisions. As a result, most matches end on the first stage, not many make it to the second, and only a small handful of attempts actually make it to the final fight. And actually WINNING with a random team? Like finding a player with a Sheep hanging out in the Commons. But as the days go by, and people figure things out, and forms are ranked up, the Lunari starts to drop like mad. For me, over the last two days had maybe 2 teams that didn't make it past stage 1, most went to stage 3, and I was able to add 4 wins towards my badge (should have been 7!!).
Lastly, speaking of strategies....on one of the fights at the third wave one player had what I thought was a great idea - join solo, let the mob fights come out, then flee, and right before the blade fight is over, a team forms again to the spiral so that the blades pop towards the start of the fight and not as everyone is dying. Brilliant I thought! Did not work out so well for us as a random team doesn't not adjust well to thinking outside the box and people got...lets just say mutinous - but has anyone tried this strategy and does it work? Any have any other "can't lose" strategies outside of "surround yourself with level 5 players"?

i pretty much hit my goals this time around, got the moondust on all 7, got the pet on 5... i had better luck earlier in the event, oddly enough. i don't think there was a day when i wasn't on a team that won all 3 waves, and all my teams are random (except that i have a partner and we group, and that does help, though there were lots of times i was on a team that yelled at us for wanting to work as a pair and let everyone else divide as they saw fit). it's weird when there is a planning phase, and a couple of pairs are picking circles to go to, and the other people on the team call you all rude? like, how is trying to plan rude?
i wish i had taken a screen shot - once, only once, our team finished with 9 minutes!! i could not believe it, but we did have the easiest bosses in the final spiral, and we were super lucky in the other spiral fights, i think we had 24 minutes after finishing the second wave, but still. we were all dancing a jig.
it seems like the "credit" for winning stage 3 ... has anyone else thought it might take being in the spiral for all 3 fights? i am pretty sure have not gotten credit for winning third wave even though i was in the spiral, but i wasn't in the first or second spirals those times. i have been on more teams where people don't want to be in the spiral, not sure why. definitely missed the random moondust drops from a spiral win this time.
as far as odd strategies (i know that wasn't the question lol ) i had one team mate who pointed out that if the team is going to lose the final spiral (don't think it works on first or second wave) if one of the players who can't rejoin the fight sits on the circle they will restart the fight when everyone else dies with only the surviving bosses. so if you kill all the minions before the team dies, only the big boss comes back. it worked the one time i was on a team that tried it, but i would hesitate to promise it is supposed to work like that. i just don't know.
