      Deckathalon Elixirs Question

I've tried these elixir's in death Decathalon (one at a time), none work: Ice III, death III, life III, and fire III
Before i enter the Deckathalon the elixirs are active.
After I enter they get surrounded by a red circle with a line through it, and they are not active.
I do not get the extra pip
My fire hit is not 10% stronger when i use it with the fire elixir.
      Am I missing something?

      Re: Deckathalon Elixirs Question

They aren't supposed to be used in the Deckathalon, they're just crafted from the reagents you get from the Deckathalon.

I can certainly understand the confusion, based on this misleading systems design, since you are taught that reagents earned in an event are used to craft items related to the event (Deckathalon decks, Deckathalon TCs, Beastmoon clothes, Beastmoon seeds, etc). These elixirs and the Deckathalon crafted furniture sets are the odd ones out.....they have nothing to do with the events you earn the reagents for.

If someone ever reading this thread does need these elixirs, I highly recommend NOT using the recipes from the Deckathalon, as the reagents are semi-rare and needed for decks and arcane gauntlets you can wear. Instead use the Monster Mayhem crafting station to craft the elixirs, as those use easily obtainable Beastmoon reagents and give you the same exact elixir.

The elixir has the "no pvp" symbol, is this symbol meant to convey "no pvp AND no deckathalon" ?

and yes, use beastmoon reagents when possible

It is definitely representative of NO PVP, but I'm not sure what actually denotes NO DECKATHALON (if anything) besides the NO COMBAT symbol (the duel circle versus the crossed swords NO PVP symbol). I haven't seen anything official that these potions were expliciting not intended for Deckathalons.....but they haven't worked since day one.

In addition, there is a current bug/glitch/visual error with several potions. For example, if you activate a gardening potion, it is suppose to pause during combat/duels as it changes to "crossed out" symbol during fights, however, the potion timer still counts down as if you are simply standing there and not in a fight. There is also a possibility (lesser) that the potions were always intended to keep the timer running in a duel....if so then there is a visual error of showing the "crossed out" symbols. I've submitted this issue to the developers, but no response given.

With that error/glitch I just described, it's hard to tell what is working and not in regards to the potions/elixirs right now. However, it does seem that the elixirs were intended for regular PvE/questing instead of the Deckathalons themselves. This is unfortunate because the elixirs would certainly help some players clear stage hurdles and using up those precious reagents to get them would be a fair price for use in Deckathalon......but since they are also made with the easy/cheap Mayhem/Beastmoon reagents.......that doesn't seem right for use in Deckathalon.

Agreed - very misleading. Since you get the reagents as a reward from this event, it is absolutely logical that you would be able to use these elixirs for the Deckathalon.

But then again, you craft wands that give a blade that you cannot use in the tower so I guess "logical" doesn't apply here.

Besides, in the rules it does mention that elixirs don't work. However, given that it can be quite a while between the time you see that and the time you can actually craft those elixirs it's not hard to see why the disclaimer is overlooked.
On the subject of Deckathalon disclaimers, it sure would be nice if you were unable to add cards into your deck that were not usable in the tower. I have quite a few Deadly Minotaurs - some I got as drops or from the bazaar and some I crafted using Mutate. Problem is, they look the same but one you cannot use in the tower and the other you can. If you have a deckathalon deck then you shouldn't even be able to put the non-working ones in or else you should get a warning that you have X number of unusable cards when you try to join.

And they should definitely make it clearer you cannot use ANY elixir - crafted or not - for the event.

The amount of runes I wasted crafting one of these this past deckathalon is infuriating lol. Extremely misleading.
