Spring Update now live

My friends in game that I've spoke to about the gear comparing all find it useless or confusing. Nobody is happy with it . One said KI are up their own rear end.

Additional for any fishing fans out there all the new fish are very rare you're lucky if catch any. It's like the are all EPIC but they aren't. Disappointing IMHO. Oh and in Sardonyx I can hardly see the fish let alone try to place my lure near the one I'm tracking, because I lose sight of it. I have 4 wizards who pre spring update had all fish in game(202). I don't think I'll bother for all only on one Wiz, it's not fun.

I have them all. Took about an hour with a fishing benefit elixir, major fishing elixir, using summon, winnow rank 3, scare away rank 2 sentinels and then charm to bring any in towards me. Lots of summon as it took many to get the epic fish to materialize. Thankfully I had a fishing benefit on or I would have spent a lot on energy refills.

I would personally encourage everyone and all your friends to send KI messages to customer support expressing your unhappiness.

I think that giving the players the option to switch between GUI systems would help immensely (call it "Compact GUI" and "Normal GUI" or something, for instance). I am not a fan this new system.

As for pets, well. There's isn't much left to say.

For a returning player, this update is probably one of the worst updates in any game I've seen for a long time.

They wanted to make this easier however:

FTUE:
a) They removed the ability to see what stats, snacks or anything drops
b) When buying at the bazaar - you are unable to see extra cards on items, or, if you want to compare items, it becomes more confusing requiring holding CTRL and Click.

PETS
c) Hatchmaking Kiosk is now only able to search for two talents - making it even harder to get a pet you want.
d) The increased cost of Hatchmaking Kiosk also comes as a disadvantage for new players wanting a decent pet
1) Newer players can't attain gold as easy.
e) The increased cost for levelling pets doesn't help either.
f) Yay, we can now control our pet however;
1) There is a single quest that tells you to find dirt mounds - once you are done, there are no new quests or information about new talents.
2) Every time you leave an area, it will change you back to the character, meaning you will have to go back in the form as the pet, same with entering buildings.
3) When you enter a battle with your pet, it changes back to your character.
4) The patch notes said that talents can help you get reagents by sending the pets off to collect. Okay, that's cool - where is the information. Also, why can't I pick up stuff as my pet?

Summarize Pet controlling: I can see this being beneficial or fun for younger players for maybe - 5 minutes tops, then it gets old.

If you really want a good pet, you will, like in the old days, have to go back to finding players either on central, friends or people in the hatchery willing to hatch with, since the cost is still pretty low

However, the downsides of these options are:
1) It's alot harder to find others to hatch with. If you are to hatch with a player from central, the timezones, in real life situations etc will become a factor.
2) An owner of a pet will probably not do a hatch with a newer player, because it's not to their benefit.
3) Resulting in the return of people begging for a hatch in the Hatchery - this is what we saw prior to the introduction of the hatchmaking kiosk.

For a simple castle decorator, like myself; I do like the new features of castle decorating. Never been a "glitcher" or wanted to learn, but some of these new features will allow me to do some new and different things. Like I said, I'm a simple decorator so this is a good thing for me.

There's so many groups for organizing that sort of thing, and I see this further dividing the established players and newer/younger ones who don't have the stockpile and setup to foot the cost of pet hatches or just make their own with friends, etc.

And not to mention that newer players are probably not familiar with Wiz101 Central, and even aware that there are some nice people around offering pets to hatch.

menu chat players all ready have less pets to get cos the kiosk cant have crown pets or they cost crowns. now they have to get loads more gold to even get a normal pet. least they wont get bullys for bad gear cos no one can even check gear now. might as well just hide all stats and leave us to guess what we got when we put it on. im so not able to get my head round all this now its more broken up and have to piece to gether the info we had on each bit of gear. im glad to have central so i can just do what other people tell me to get for the best stuff sted of looking and try to work it out on my own. thanks central

Forgot to ask in my earlier post, but is this a thing now? I got some TCs, snacks and reagents from harvesting plants, but the items showing up on the left side of the screen only show a name when hovering over them with my mouse. It no longer shows what the "card" looks like. If this is intended, then it's plain horrible. I rely so much on visuals when going through my drops. I really am not excited about having to read what the items are whenever I get a new reagent.

This is especially frustrating harvesting beastmoon seeds. I can no longer see which beastmoon idols are dropping. If I harvest a death beastmoon seed I used to be able to see if it was fairy, ninja pig, or cyclops. Now it no longer shows those specific images, it just says "Beastmoon Idol". The only way I can tell what dropped is to open my reagents bag and count. Not to mention that only works if I knew how many I had in there to begin with.


This is just what I have noticed so far... I have much more exploring/noticing to go do.
