I was delighted reading this in the update notes but after logging test I see the price 18,000 crowns! There I was thinking about 3,500 crowns would be fair. However 18,000 crowns is insane. It would cost 36,000 for both my accounts, sorry KI that's too rich for me.

Edit: for crowns players who have bought all the zones it wouldn't be quite as crazy because they don't need any membership. Members still have that expense on top.

Seems like a fair price to me when you can use this instead of buying a second account for that 7th wizard. XP

If you bought the zones it's not so bad but if you factor in membership you may as well get an entire 2nd or 3rd account

18k crowns is $15 if you buy crowns during sale. i find that a reasonable price since it is a one time payment. if you buy a membership, anything more than 3 months will cost more. the 7th slot is permanent. membership you need to keep paying to keep it. not sure how you find membership a better deal.

its $35. It isn't that much of an investment. For crowns players its a drop in price from $225 to $35. For memberships its literally just the cost of 3.5 months of membership. Not really that hefty on your wallet. Heck, when you do a family plan for a membership, $35 barely covers 2 months of membership (because you're paying for both accounts).

This is a deal no matter what way you split it.

This was my gut reaction as well, but after reading the breakdown I can absolutely see the value in it. Still don't know if I'm going to purchase it at this price point, but it's something I'm willing to consider.

At this point I'm just thinking about what I'd do with it. Could sacrifice dual-boxing by moving my Balance over to my main account to save myself money, or I could make a second Balance on my main account and keep the one on my second account for dual-boxing. The second probably has more longevity because it gives me an excuse to quest through the game again, and my balance was rushed to max with a month sub.

You gotta remember my man, you're not just paying for a seventh slot, you're also paying so that you don't have to get a secondary account.

its $35 vs $225 (if you go for crowns), or what averages out to about 2 months of family membership. Less if you account for a deal on crowns and when you factor in daily assignments, trivia, and earn crowns videos.

it is a major deal that they're letting you do this, when in reality they could keep doing what they're doing, let you make a second account and pay them heaps more money that way, instead of paying a single lump sum of $35 (or $15 if done in crowns sales as an earlier poster said) so that you only have one account to worry about.

TL;DR, you're not just paying for the value of the character slot itself, you're also paying to make up for the revenue KI is losing by no longer requiring people to buy second and third accounts.
