      Monstrology gear

      I was thinking maybe there should be gear that gives players a small chance of gaining an extra animus from extraction. It doesn't have to be a high percentage, but maybe something along the lines of 5% chance of an extra animus with a monstrology hat or something like that. Maybe there could even be monstrology gear that give an item card version of an extraction spell.

      That would be a nice reward for having bosses in our Monstrodomes - unique animus boosting gear.

      +1. Love this idea, I agree with willow that maybe it should be a drop from mobs/bosses in the dome? Would make sense that way @Sparck thoughts?

      It'd be cool to see gear like this! Possibly the Stat could be made into Jewels and Pet Talents as well?

      I like this idea. You know they would make a Monstrology pack out of it.

      @steMoGsteL

      Please no, we do not need even more ways KingsIsle can take Player's money... Just put them in the Jewel Packs, have them drop like normal jewels, and then call it a day.

      I agree! If this is the case, perhaps the world that the monstrology boss came from should determine how good the stats of the gear is (how high the percentage is for extra animus)

      Re: Monstrology gear

      Sure extracting more animus faster is something many of us Monstrologist would like to do, I still feel Monstrology is still too limited on what we can extract. We need more Monstrology classes of spells so we can broaden our selection of what to extract. Undead just takes up the majority now a days, and we should get extractions like Robot, Spider, Cat, Grendel, which include a large portion of Creatures. Imp was sort of a disappointing extraction because it only included 6 originally now 7 because a Grendel counted as Imp apparently.

      We seem to get a Monstrology update like every other update with just 3 new extractions which can feel limited especially if they don't cover tons of Creatures like the last update did. Multiplying animus some more with gear might sound handy, but it's not extremely necessary when you can typically farm the Creature fairly easily unless it's in a complicated hard fight. Maybe one day they'll add this as a feature, but I am not too worried about not getting enough animus per fight. Besides it can be fun fighting harder creatures with friends.

      Sure, more types of creatures to extract would be nice. It wouldn't have to be instead of this thread's idea, though. I prefer farming my animus solo, because too often a team setup kills the enemies before I draw my proper extraction power.
      Case in Point: Lost Maiden in Atlantea - four battles prior to hers, three of which are boss battles. Farming was extremely slow prior to the member benefit, and then I splurged on the Triple Animus Elixir so I wouldn't have to go back any time soon. BUT, if I could get exclusive gear from her in a Monstrodome?

      Well with enemies that are hard to get to because you have to defeat tons of bosses before them just to extract them you should go in with someone to help you defeat those tough challenges ahead of you. Solo extractions are very tedious when you want to do the full extraction of animus, plus it takes tons of build up just to do it. I would just settle for the 2 animus, with someone defeating them quickly after the extraction rather than wasting tons of time just for 3 animus.

      As an Ice Wizard as my main, I hate fighting tough battles, so I always rely on a strong hitter to help me do the battles quicker. Even if it's more battles, it would probably be faster to obtain those items than the full extraction solo route. Still more animus multipliers would still help a bunch, and Monstrodome needs to be improved since it hasn't been that beneficial to players.
