Problems with Photomancy

My photos that I take using Photomancy aren't being saved. They don't show up in the in-game folder nor the folder on my computer. Clicking the button to open the screenshot folder on my computer doesn't work. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Did you check your spellbook for the photos? If you click the link under the photomancy page, you will see a link to the folder where photomancy puts them. This is where mine is:

Documents > Wizard101 > Photos > wizard's name > location info

I hope you find them.

I came on Wizard Central for the same reason. I have looked everywhere and cannot find my photos. Will look again, I guess. Thanks!

Are you saying they aren't saved anywhere in the game itself? I thought that is why there is the Photo Tome. Are you talking about the Documents folder on the computer or is there one in the game? I'm very confused. I open my backpack, click on the camera and it says, # of Photos ZERO when I know I took photos. So where do I look for them.

Wizard101 stores screenshots on my computer in the folder Documents > Wizard101. I don't have any folders beyond that, such as the ones in your post.

My spellbook doesn't show the photos either. I attached a screenshot of the spellbook and button that should open up the screenshots folder on my PC, but the button is not functioning.
When I click on "Display Photo Count", it says I have taken no pictures.

Logging out did not fix the problem.

I am having the exact same issue. I hope this is resolved quickly, as this was a feature I was greatly looking forward to.

I reported this as a bug last week on Test as I can't view my photos either from there. I'm still having the same issue and Open Photo Folder does not work. I don't have the 'Documents>Wizard101>Photos>Wizard's name>Location info' link, only 'Documents>Wizard101' and not even the photos I took appeared there.

I wonder if it could possibly be either an issue with privileges on the computer, Wizard101 being able to create new folders - or some sort of security protection? Do you have admin privileges on your systems? Is Wizard101 allowed to make changes?

I have the same problem, and as many of us have this concern, I think Kingsisle will fix this bug quickly.


It is obvious, we do not have to go rummage through our computer files to see the photos, the clichés taken in the game must be visible in our book. Point!



Reassured all the same not to be the only one at least this problem will be taken into account quickly.

Photomancy Work Around 7/17/2018

We are aware of a bug with Photomancy not saving pictures to your photobook. We are working to resolve this.

Here's one way to fix it in the meantime.

On Windows 10
*Go to Cortana or your search box.
*Type "documents" without the quotations
*Double left click on the folder labeled "Wizard101" to open it
*Right click inside the folder
*Hover your mouse/cursor over the word "new"
*Left click "folder"
*Type in "Photos" (be sure to use a capital P)
*Return to the game and press Z to take a photo.

Voila!
