Re: Why grow Trumpet Vine family seeds and how to do it without crowns

I agree with growing UTV. They are fast, drop a wide variety of rank 8 mega snacks, and Fish on a Vine. I would suggest growing full plots (69) Trumpet Vines until you accumulate 25 UTV. I would shy away from STV if your immediate goal is UTV. TV are much faster to elder, so you will be able to get 25 UTV much faster this way. I believe there is a guide on how to build a 25 plot stacked medium soil, medium spell garden. I used crates and a statue base to build several. It can be tricky, but worth the time investment. Even with the high level pests, the need to only use medium spells reduces your energy cost significantly.

Re: Why grow Trumpet Vine family seeds and how to do it without crowns

Thanks to all of your wonderful gardening guides. I know this is a few years old, but I want to point out that TV and STV seeds are needed to craft mounts from the BOXES event. So, if you have sonic springs and want to craft some mounts, then use this guide to acquire more TV or STV seeds. The BOXES instances drop crowns seeds (recent runs netted me some couch potatoes and DHEís) as well as decent gear so it is inevitable they will drop a sonic spring.

Personally, I prefer STVís because they drop braided vine. TVís have too many pests but their seeds are endlessly dropping so I collect them for the crafted mounts.
