      Exclamation Important Update for Darkmoor!

      Wizards, I learned some big news for those who farm Castle Darkmoor instances.

      Some difficulty adjustments, including reduction of health, starting pips, Critical and Block, have been made within Darkmoor.

      This should clear up the "Darkmoor is way too hard" comments and make this instances more enjoyable for everyone. Oh and there are now second chance chests for bosses at the end of Darkmoor, including Malistaire the Undying, so get your crowns up via Kifreegames trivia, and more and start farming that gear if you haven't already.

      You've arrived a bit late to the party... interestingly enough, people still find the dungeon hard, lengthy and now the hardcore players are complaining that the one dungeon they could go to challenge themselves has been destroyed.

      It's safe to say that the rants regarding Darkmoor will never stop.

      I think that's so heavily subjective seeing how some people say it's still too hard to do and others say that it's too easy now. My take is that's just a tad bit more bearable now but still needs team work and strategy. I'd suggest that you go check it out to see if you find it easier or with the same level of difficulty as before.

      I haven't done the rabbit (or any of the side bosses), but they seem to have nerfed the main dungeons at least. The bosses have 10-15% less health and one less starting power pip. The minions have health reduced to generally around 6k (altho the storm minions didn't get a reduction, they were already in the neighborhood). Both seem to need to roll for the 2nd last pip to be a power pip? Haven't tested that. The do seem to critical less, although I haven't run any stats. I haven't tested the cheats (e.g., didn't heal at Howling Chaney, but Spirit of DM still did the dragon & efreet)

      How can less pips, less health, and less critical not be a nerf? Maybe they didn't nerf it enough for everyone, but it's still a nerf. One lovely side effect is stealing Shane's blade isn't really so terrific anymore. Nerfed both ways there :D

      I do agree it's a nerf and with the 'no trade' label off the gear, now I go in there...willingly! But by saying it was subjective I was trying to avoid someone quoting me to say "nerf?! WHAT nerf? it's still so hard!" :") Since many still think the place is for "hardcore" players only, it seems nerfs are now subjective.

      Sorry, I feel the need to clarify here since KI has not found it in their cold, evil, barren heart to award me the Yevgeny athame yet. Been playing DM for over a year now!!!! I went there last night stupidly thinking that Yevgeny would have a boss chest. For those wondering, he does not. So I must assume the chest only arrives after defeating Shadow Malistaire.

      I guess my question for KI would be, does that chest only drop the hat, robe, boots and wand OR does it drop the specific gear attributable to Yevgeny and Shane, like the athame?

      I've run the full dungeon once, and that has been nerfed a lot.

      I've done Aphrodite a handful of times and while I think she Criticials a little bit less, she still blocks everything, the Health is still really high and she seems to have as many pips as ever. So, when my Balance and Storm get there, I guess farming won't be very difficult, but I'm still painfully trying to get my life the Spell - and that hasn't gotten any easier. Painfully, because I'm spending the same 35-45 minutes in Aphrodite, to get nada, that we used to spend in the entire dungeon. :/
