Your thoughts on 10 year mute?

I haven't been muted myself, but i can say KI lost a huge portion of players due to muting for 10 years. The max should be 1 month. What if that person spent a lot of money on the game? I understand the monitors give warnings, and KI doesn't want people breaking the rules, but open chat is for 18+ the younger kids with text wouldn't be able to see anything anyways. Idk it's just my opinion =d

I think it is excessive. For all practical intents and purposes a 10 year mute might as well be a permanent mute as I highly doubt Wizard101 will be around in another 10 years. I think that one year mutes followed by requiring the player to purchase a one year subscription (at full price) before getting chat privileges returned followed by a permanent mute for subsequent violations would be better.

I am over 18 and I prefer my environments, game and irl, free of offensive language. KI understands that there are enough people like me who will pay for a game that that doesn't contain offensive language and would walk away from one that does.

If you do something that outrageous multiple times to get a 10 year mute then they might as well ban for it lol

Rich people should be able to say whatever they want?!?

If they spent a lot of money, and they can't do without chat,
then they wasted their money, and should have considered the consequences beforehand.

My thoughts it shows a little bit of mercy from K.I because they don't want to permamentaly ban players instead they remove your ability to chat because they don't want your money to be wasted and your account being permamently gone. They have feelings for you too so if they muted you, you should at least thank them for not making all the money invested being wasted and deleted and turning into nothing. If you think about it K.I is a very nice company, unlike other games if you say bad words BOOOM your account will be BANNED

I, like many others, find this extremely not necessary. I mean in 10 years who would even care about the game?? Basically getting muted means being banned in a "nice" way.

I think it's a bit much considering most people couldn't care less about the game after 10 years. Maybe a 3 month ban limit or something shorter....

Ya I agree. Being banned for 10 years is way much. I think that it should only be about 3 months or maybe 6 months at max.
