Might I suggest this damage ring for level 96? http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki..._Samoorai_Band

Gonna be a buzzkill, but when a guide/post says 50+, I would expect gear from level 50 onward, not start closer to 60.

You leave out the Celestia level 55 gear, which I prefer over any of whats listed (unless you are not including crafted gear, I didnt read everything seeing how there wasnt anything from 50-55).

If you remake this guide, please dont state level 50, as thats misleading to people looking for good gear before the crafted gear is available.

Nope going to add it in. Just looking for better options early on. Starting out in Celestia or Wintertusk not much is there. Totally forgot the level 55 crafted gear and the level 96 ring. Thanks for both. Although one issue for the level 55 stuff is that its mixed with schools and wont last long. It has no universal resistance. It also very little block.

I should probably list Morganthe's ring as well.

      @Dradaki

I have added more and will continue to work more on this guide. Still need to do amulets now at least. Let me know if you have any suggestions for level 50 items. Other than rings, and athames I haven't seen any good choices for level 50 gear.

This guy really helped me a lot, just got back into the game and was so confused on who to farm with all the high level bosses and dungeons. I assumed Darkmoor gear was the best, but had no clue where to go for athames, amulets, and rings.

Totally forgot I had to do amulets until I saw your post. Just updated that(which is terrible because that was a few months ago I think). Anyways its the Jewel of Feint, Shango's Deathblade, Morganthe's, Shane's, and Malistaire's. If anyone knows any others I will add them. But those are the most helpful, and they are what come to mind other than Masteries.

There's an awesome amulet for death at level 75 that is definitely a step up from Shango's.

      http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki...opher%27s_Mark

The Barbarian Philosopher's Mark gives an extra 40 health and a conviction along with the boosted deathblade, and is the amulet I will be using up until morganthe.

Also, can we talk about some good alternatives to the Darkmoor gear?

While I can't think of a better pair of boots, I think there are good alternatives to the Hat, Robe, and Wand thanks to the new housing Gauntlets.

First the Robe. Rattlebones' Bonesmasher Robe of strife is right on par with the Darkmoor robe, with some percentages higher and some percentages lower. In addition, it provides an age of reckoning item card, which Is much more useful to me than that shadow trap. In my opinion it just looks cooler too

      Link: http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki...Robe_of_Strife

Next, for the hat, I would suggest Krokopatra's Oblivion Fez. Same with the Rattlebones Robe, it is on Par with the Malistaire Hat, with some stats being a percent or two higher and some being a percent or two lower.

      Link: http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki...a_Oblivion_Fez

Now for the wand. I would suggest the immortal's dread scepter. It has slightly higher block but slightly lower critical and pierce than the Darkmoor wand. However, all four of the wand hits are shadow school so you can use them all to remove weakness and shields. The card also provides two 30% STACKABLE spirit trap cards, which In my opinion is more useful than the shadow blade the Darkmoor wand gives.

      Link: http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki..._Dread_Scepter

So I just checked out the Meowiarty Drop list, and while I can't find his death boots, there is a picture of his myth boots, and guess what? Meowiarty's boots are on par with the Darkmoor boots, and could easily replace them. Assuming Death's Meowiarty boots will be the same, then you could also comfortably substitute the Darkmoor boots for the ones from Meowiarty.

While this will get slightly off topic, making this post has made me realize something very important.

Between Morganthe and the new Exalted Duels, you now don't need to farm Darkmoor at all if you don't want to.

Do what you want with that information, but I think I know what I would rather spend my time farming.

(PS I own the Barbarian Philosopher's Mark, Rattlebones Robe, and Zeus Death Wand, and I can provide pictures if you want them.)

Re: A Guide to Death Gear Level 50+

      This is an excellent guide!

But I'm wondering, should we keep the Waterworks gear all the way to level 100 (as is suggested would work), or is it better to replace it with the crafted gear listed for 70 through 90? I don't know what stats are best to have, so I can't tell what may be an improvement.

      Thanks!

Re: A Guide to Death Gear Level 50+

I disagree with not having any decent gear at level 50. If you don't wish to farm, the level 45+ gear is adequate for damage. However, the only optimal gear traditionally would be the Malistare gear set which is scattered throughout Dragonspyre unlike our current Malistare where he gives all his gear from him.
