Leveling with life- any way to speed it up?

So it's been almost a year of playing and I'm still only level 44. I know it's because I'm not very active except for night time but there's one thing that's bugging me-


Every fight I do lasts about an hour or half an hour.
I don't know how to speed it up, I know I should attack more- but at the same time I keep dying if I don't heal.


What kind of deck set up should I use to speed it up? should it be a big or small deck and what kind of spells?
Also what should my stats look like? If you'd like I'll get a screenshot of my current stats for you.

It's getting ridiculous at this point.
I love the school and the spells, but I'm just after finishing the labyrinth and it took exactly
5 hours to solo. I just had to log off after it because I needed a break.

If you haven't already I would suggest getting some Forest Lord tc, as an all enemy hit will greatly speed up your mobs battles, and even your bosses. I have found these at the bazaar, they just cost a lot for that level if I remember correctly. Otherwise my life wizard is still in Mooshu, so I can't really suggest much because I haven't had much experience. Definitely try forest lord tc, got scarecrow tc on my death until I got there and it helps .

Life blade, spirit blade, feint, life trap, centaur. That's a deadly combo... even just a couple cards and centaur is good. Cast feint and spirit blade when you have a white pip, try not to waste a power pip on them. Take out the minions first, then the boss. You can solo almost everything, except the really hard boss battles, like Malistare.

Try to find items and spells that will boost your healing, so you can use low pip healing spells, instead of the big ones. Also, up your resist so you don't take as much damage in the first place. Use a tower shield when you see a big hit coming.

Train a pet up with may cast heal spells and resist. At high levels the crafted gear is really good.

Feint, centaur, lifeblade, monstrous tc, life trap, and satyr if it makes you feel more safe.

As others have said, blading and trapping helps immensely.

I've also found that when mob battles become repetitive (eg. defeat and collect), I shrink my deck until I have just the few cards I need to buff and attack, and maybe minor blessings to save pips or satyr in case, so that I get the cards I need more quickly.

I think Dragonspyre is the worst place for life wizards, everyone else has multiple AoE at this point or gets an AoE (from Loremaster or from being level 47 *cough* death *cough). Level 58 is your best friend, and once you get forest lord questing will be a lot less annoying. Until then, I think I just used single spells on mobs, there's not much you can do other than grind through the pain. Friends DEFINITELY help though, maybe get a higher level friend to quest with you or find a questing buddy if you use team up for something or Idk. It's a huge pain, but worth it in the end.

Okay. @poppi here's what you need to do... Firstly get a pet (like the cloud beast) that has enranged forest lord. (I'm free to hatch with because I have one just VM or PM me) All I ask in return for hatching is if I can be your friend! Nextly for you gear, buy lots of gear that gives powerpip chance and damage. Now with the enranged forest lord pet... It happens to be 60% accuracy, do not give up on it! I don't fizzle often and I still use it to this day! I will use it until I get the spell! That's pretty much all there is to it! Remeber that I am a level 53 wizard and used this strategy from mooshu to today!

You can speed it up with monstrous tc (buy them in the bazaar or celestia). I also had a life and with mob fights I woud just feint blade and centaur :D It's a struggle, but quite easy

I think it all depends on how you play and your setups. I suggest using only cards that you'll need if you dont already. It shouldnt be bare to the bone, but too many cards and you cant find anything you need. As for gear, you should try to find gear that has decent universal resist for your level, and extra health too. You might not have to worry about too much damage, because that's what buffs are for, but powerpip percentage is a big must. Add a few blades, and traps and you're ready to go. Note: Coming from a level 100 theurgist who has soloed most of the game.
