About "Hackers"

I highly doubt there are any legitimate hackers on Wizard101; people are quick to assume and throw around the term "hacker" loosely. An unfamiliar glitch becomes a hack, or just an unfamiliar part of the game, for example. There's also the fact that if someone gives away their personal information and their account is hijacked, that's not hacking. That's just having the account stolen.

Mature players would know that it is very difficult to hack into wizard101, but still possible.

Well, if we're honest Facebook doesn't really have the best security, but I have to agree about the other 2.

yea i saw the post that your referring to, and it was kinda silly. i guessed right away that they must have just been lagging. lately wiz has been having a lot of strange things going on. but not due to "hackers" but that ki is doing too much too fast without making sure that everything's compatible. but there are other things in the game that can be hacked. like houses and stuff. those can be hacked and i know this first hand because someone has hacked my house in the past and ki had to step in and deal with them. but ki fixed it super fast and im pretty sure those ppl got banned and i haven't had any probs since. but any who. yea.

It's possible, there is a very true phrase out there. "You can't stop a hacker, you can only slow them down." When you get a secure connection to the server you could theoretically intercept the packets and change them if you have the right software. That's where there was the hack of dampen magic, and the "bots" in the commons recently.

First of all, I don`t like how you imply that kids aren`t mature. I`m a kid, am I immature?

Secondly, if the Pentagon/Us Government can be hacked, I'm pretty sure a family game would be applesauce for some hackers.

I'm not saying its likely anybody would bother with hacking wizard101, just saying its possible :P

The question is not so much if Wizard101 can by hacked, it's why would anyone want to hack it to begin with?

Considering that hacking is a felony offense in just about all of the United States unless there is some darn good financial, personal, or political gain to be had by getting around KI's security features, then there really is no reason to hack it to begin with other than for pure fun by persons who don't really care about the consequences.

IMO that makes W101 fairly low down the list threat wise. Not to say impossible, only very improbable.
