Illustrated Guide To Tartarus - Final Test Of The Immortal Games!!

      ~ TARTARUS ~

Welcome to the Final Level 90 Dungeon within Aquila and the Immortal Games!! Throughout this guide I will submit the TAS Recommendations. These are our Team's suggestions and tactics that we will use in these type of dungeons. Please use them or disregard them as you see fit for your style of game play but we find they are our best approach for these fights. This is a "No Porting In" Dungeon unlike Mount Olympus and Atlantea which allows wizards to port in.

(In all of these Battles, Bosses and minions target differently than normal. Example: When two wizards enter into these battles, you would expect the first and third enemy to attack the 1st or sun spot and the second and fourth enemy to attack the 2nd or eye spot, but they were reversed in these battles).

TAS Recommendation - Before I list all of the battles you will encounter in this dungeon, PREPARATION is always the key to victory. Best to prepare yourself for what you will encounter, so beside following any recommendations in this guide that you may need, I highly recommend the following:
      1. A very good habit to get into before entering any dungeons of this type and difficulty, be sure to enter with Full Potions, Full Health & Full Mana. Even though you will find plenty of Health and Mana wisps inside of Tartarus, it is just good practice to do this for any and all dungeons.
      2. Plan on stocking up on Treasure Card Feint for some if not all of these battles. This TC will stack damage on top of trained feint, potent feint and pet feint (if available) which you my find necessary for some of the larger bosses within this dungeon.

First Fight/Room - House of Faun

Death Satyr (Death Boss - 15,500 health) - Lamenting Sprite (Ice Minion - 3,600 health)
Anguished Woodman (Fire Minion - 3,300 health), Night Imp (Myth Minion - 3,350 health)

      - Other than some cool new spells that the Satyr will cast including a natural attack that stuns, there seem to be no cheats in this fight.

      TAS Recommendation 3-4 Wizards -
When we run this dungeon, we will pre-select a hitter from the team and the remaining team members should concentrate on setup with traps for the Boss and blades for the hitter. Assigned hitter, once set up is complete, should hit with an Attack on Everyone. One team member should be assigned to healing, keeping the team and themselves healthy.

      TAS Recommendation - 2 Wizards
      - Blade one Wizard for an Attack on Everyone to rid the minions as quickly as possible. This will reduce the amount of damage that your group will take during each battle.
      - Once the minions have been dispatched, then you only have the Boss to contend with. You can pre-select the same wizard or a different wizard that can use that school's best single target attack for the remaining Boss. Apply available blades to the selected Wizard and available traps to the Boss before hitting.

Second Fight/Rooom - Garden Of Statues

      Death Minotaur (Death - 18,900 Health) - 3x Ill-Fated Serpentine (Balance - 3,400 Health)

      CHEATS
      - Death Minotaur casts Balance Spells (Black Mantle 45%, Balance Blade)
      - Turn 1 - Death Minotaur will cast 0-Pip Death Global Spell. This actually takes the place of his turn so it is not an interrupt. It also looks very similar to Doom & Gloom but does not affect healing, it will increase damage done by Death Attacks.
      - "With Life Comes Death" - Right after Someone heals, this Boss will cast a 75% Death Trap on the Healer.

      TAS Recommendation - 3-4 Wizards
      - The Death Boost Bubble can be replaced by any other global spell at any time and it will not be replaced by the Death Minotaur.
      - When we run this dungeon, we will pre-select a hitter from the team and the remaining team members should concentrate on setup with traps for the Boss and blades for the hitter. Assigned hitter, once set up is complete, should hit with an Attack on Everyone. One team member should be assigned to healing, keeping the team and themselves healthy.

      TAS Recommendation - 2 Wizards
      - The Death Boost Bubble can be replaced by any other global spell at any time and it will not be replaced by the Death Minotaur.

Third Fight/Room - Puzzle Of The Gorgon

      - Must enter each maze Through Blue Glow in Snake's Mouth I, II, III and IV and find the broken Urn pieces in each.
      - Once you claim the Urn Piece in any of the 4, you must make your way through the maze to the Snake Head to Exit.
      - Repeat until you have collect all 4 Urn pieces from each maze.
      - You must have all 4 of the urn pieces collected before you attempt to reassemble. The Urn can be reassembled by selecting the correct pieces in the correct Order (I - first, II - second, III - third and IV - last.).
      - Once the Urn has been assembled properly, you must head back into the mazes and retrieve one Liontail Leaves. Does not matter which maze it is retrieved from, but you only need one.
      - Fail to put together the Urn correctly and you will have to fight. (Pulled into Battle in the Order team enters the room with Stheno).

      STHENO'S PUZZLE IS BUGGED -
If your WHOLE team does not all enter the room where Stheno resides and someone starts to find the urn pieces in the mazes, those puzzle pieces that were already found, will disappear once a new person enters Stheno's room. If this should occur to you, the remedy is to go back into the maze of the previously found urn piece and find it once again. To avoid this from happening to your run, ALL members of your team need to be in the room with Stheno BEFORE finding urn pieces in the mazes.

Stheno (Ice Boss - 18,200 Health) - 3x Bronze Hoplite (Fire Mob - Health 3,700)
      CHEATS
Stheno uses Myth Spells as if wearing a Myth Mastery
Other than her Myth Spells, this is a straight forward fight with no cheats.

      TAS Recommendation - 3-4 Wizards

      Fourth Fight/Room -Courtyard Of Hades

Cerberus Head(Myth Boss - 14,600 Health), Cerberus Head (Balance Boss - 14,600 Health)
Cerberus Head (Fire Boss - 14,600 Health)

      CHEATS
      - Turn 1 interrupt - 3x -40% Tower Shields are placed on the Myth and Balance Cerberus Head - Repeats every 5 rounds with the Myth and Balance Bosses removing any remaining shields only to replace them with 3 new shields BUT does not remove traps that may be on them, a refresh if you tried to pierce or shatter any of the shields.
      - Balance and Myth Cerberus Heads remove traps played on them. Will need a Myth Dispel on them to stop them from removing and you will need to cast Myth dispel the same turn you feint the Myth Cerberus Head to assure the dispel is used to stop the trap removal.
      - "Guard Me" - Hitting the Any Cerberus Head and you DO NOT kill it, The Fire Cerberus Head will now becomes a part of the Tower Shield Cheat
      - Once you can dispatch the Fire Cerberus Head - On the next 5th round cycle of shields, the Myth and Balance Bosses will remove their remaining shields, unless you defeat the Fire Head on turn before the 5 turn cycle. If you defeat the Fire Head on turn 4, 9, 14, 19, etc.. Then the Myth and Balance Heads wil place shields once more and then remove them on the NEXT cycle and that ends placing Tower shield on these bosses. BUT keep in mind that they will continue to remove traps played on them.

TAS Recommendation - All Size Groups of Wizards
      Single Hit Strategy -
      - Blade one person in your group for that school's best single target attack and target the Fire Cerebus Head. Members of your group should be blades to that wizard and Traps to the that boss.
      - Once the Fire Cerebus Head Boss has been dispatched, this will eliminate the placing of the Tower shields on the remaining Bosses, but they will still remove any shields every 4 turns and you still can not place feints without a dispel. All wizards can blade up for their schools best single hit attack or you can blade a single wizard for their schools best AoE both strategies will work here.
      - One wizard should be tasked for keep the team healed.

      Attack on Everyone Strategy -
      - Infallible and/or Shadow Shrike - Given the shield piercing ability of both of these spells, pretty much negates the need to remove or wait for shields to be removed.
      - Concentrate Blades to assigned hitter for that school's best Attack on Everyone, prism/mass prism as needed.
      - Using Vaporize (Myth Dispel) to place feints/prisms on the Cerberus heads as needed. This is an optional addition since applying good set up of blades and the use of Infallible and/or Shadow Shrike negates the blocking ability of the shields in place.

Final Fight/Room - Hall Of Hades

      CHEATS
      ~ZEUS SKYFATHER ~
      - Zeus casts Storm Spells as if wearing an Storm Mastery
      "You Hesitate Too Much"
      - When we hit or healed with any spell 6 pips or higher (This includes "X" pip spells that you spent more than 6 pips on) we got this cheat of a 0-pip Minotaur to the Person that Hit or Healed.

      ~ POSEIDON EARTH-SHAKER~
      - Poseidon casts Ice Spells as if wearing an Ice Mastery
      - Poseidon Natural Attack Retaliation - If you hit Poseidon with a single target attack that has a secondary effect, He will retaliate with a storm natural attack and remove any traps that you may have tried to place. You can wand off or Pierce Tower shields on Poseidon with out a cheat.
      - Poseidon can not be the target of single target wards (Traps, single prism) or he will retaliate with his Natural Attack and remove the ward that was played.
      "We gods Are Infallible"
      - Poseidon will exclaim this the same turn that he is casting Infallible Aura.

      ~ HADES THE UNSEEN ~
      - Hades is Resistant to Balance attacks and NOT Resistant to Death Attacks.
      - Hades Natural Attack is Death, is an 4 Pip spell, is a hit on everyone AND in the following round Hades gains one gold pip, then gains his regular/gold pip for the round.
      - Hades Heals - If you are unlucky enough to have one of your team get defeated in this battle, Hades will cheat interrupt and heal. How many "Healing Over Time" or HoT, that Hades will cast is dependent on how many gods are still in battle. If all 3 gods are still around then 3 separate Healing Over Time will be cast with EACH HoT healing 630 per turn for a total of 1890 health. If there are only 2 gods remaining, then 2 separate HoT will be cast. If Hades is the only gods remaining then he will heal himself once. This WILL REPEAT every time someone perishes on your team.
"The Sands Of Your Time Are Running Out!"
      - Every 5th round, Hades will cast a 0 Pip Death Damage over time spell (resembles poison) on a random wizard that has an estimated 600 base damage per round. This is not an interrupt and will take the place of Hades turn.

TAS Recommendation - All Size Groups of Wizards
      Kill Them All Strategy -
      - Feints can be played on both Zeus and Hades without a cheat. Plan on stacking all varieties of feint (Potent, Treasure and Trained - Pet feint should be saved for Poseidon) on both of these Bosses. Meanwhile Blades should be applied to the Pre-Selected Hammer and once set up is complete, hit with their school's best Attack On Everyone.
      - If the first hit does not dispatch Poseidon, then Pet feint can be played and blade the selected Hammer for their schools best single target hit. Poseidon should not be around long enough to retaliate with his cheat.
      - One wizard should be tasked for keep the team healed.

      Re-Spawn Hades Strategy -
      - One person on the team should place a teleport mark inside this dungeon before entering the fight with the 3 gods.
      - Feints should be stacked to only Hades and Blades to the assigned hitter.
      - Single hit or Attack on Everyone can be used to eliminate ONLY HADES. (Attack on Everyone will at least get some damage to Poseidon and Zeus to get them started).
      - Once Hades is defeated, team member that placed the teleport mark should flee the battle. Once outside, gather mana wisps or use a potion to refill mana and then teleport to their mark inside the dungeon. Rejoin battle in progress with Poseidon and Zeus.
      - Blade up once again, stack feints on Zeus, pet feint/trap Poseidon and continue to eliminate the remaining two gods as necessary.
      - Once the battle is complete, Hades will reappear giving you a second opportunity for Hades Drops (NOTE- The Wizard who fled the battle will not get the first drops from Hades due to fleeing battle).
      IMPORTANT
      - It is very important to re-enter battle with just Hades as soon as possible. The other two gods will spawn again if you wait to long to do so.
      - In the converse, you may increase your drops if you wait for the remaining gods to spawn again, but this may diminish your Hades drops opportunity.

Extra Side Boss Fight/Room - Cave of Nyx

Cronus (Sun Boss - 30,000 Health), Lost Shade (Myth Minion - 3,600 Health)
Lost Shade (Fire Minion - 3,600 Health), Lost Shade (Life Minion - 3,600 Health)

      CHEATS
      - Cronus attacks with ALL School Spells as if wearing an ALL School Mastery
      - Cronus Natural Attack is very similar to Zeus, Natural attack, hits for 400-600 and will leave a Myth Trap on the Wizard attacked
      - Interrupt Every turn - Sun Spell - Will be a Random 40% Trap from any school on a random wizard
      - Turn 4 Interrupt Hit Cheat Hits a Random Wizard with Lord of Night and Minotaur (Only 2 Seen So Far) Repeats every 4 turns after the first.
      - "Attacks Alone Will Never Defeat Me" - If you hit Cronus without a ward (Trap) placed on him (You will know as he will place a stun shield marker as an "OK" to hit), he will retaliate with his Natural Attack that can be from ANY School (So Far Seen - Life and Myth)
      - If you hit Cronus and do not defeat him, he will remove the Marker and any other traps that were remaining.

      TAS Recommendation - 3-4 Wizards

We hope that this guide will lead you to victory in the Immortal Games!!

Great fun putting this guide together. I know this dungeon will be a lot of fun for all schools. So happy to see level 90 wands also drop in minion battles.

A HUGE Thank You to True Lady and Boris for taking the time to run this dungeon once again last night.

I do not think that in ALL of the runs that we have done with TAS have we ever died SOOOO much as we did in the final battle with Hades, Zeus and Poseidon!! It was fun as we all took turns kicking it to watch Hades run his cheat, over and over and over and over....

This was all in benefit so the Central Members would have a better understanding of this cheat that will most definitely come into play with most battles with the gods.

Re: Illustrated Guide To Tartarus - Final Test Of The Immortal Games!!

I'm currently in a solo run of Tartarus, and it seems the Fire head of Cerberus suddenly became apart of the cheat. I did not do any damage to it at all. So from my understanding, that shouldn't happen. I believe it happened with the second tower refresh.. At the third refresh, it swapped back to just the myth and balance with the towers. This wasn't mentioned, so I thought I might as well post about it. Perhaps the cheats changed up a little with the recent update to test?

when they do cheating dungeons in a test. they often change it around usually making it harder as time goes by. I went in with a full team and no shields were placed on it. I do know after the fire head was defeated the shield cheat on the two remaining heads still was in effect. so far the other cheats still remain the same.

For me, the shields stayed on until the refresh then they disappeared after the Fire head was defeated.

This wasn't mentioned, so I thought I might as well post about it. Perhaps the cheats changed up a little with the recent update to test?

Our team has completed these dungeons countless times in the week+ it has been available and most of that time gets erased once I makes an update.

We plan on starting all over again to see what has changed, but we really do appreciate those that offer insight as to what they saw so we know what to look for when we run. Thanks to both for those insights.

Ok we ran through this again, and at no time did the Fire Cerberus head become a part of the shield cheat unless you hit it and it did not die. That is as of today, the write up that we have on that part of this dungeon is still correct. Best to target the Fire head and One-Hit defeat, then the shields will not be replaced during the refresh round. This is especially helpful if the Balance Cerberus head decides to Spirit/Elemental Shield.

Also made adjustments to the Puzzle room as the Liontail Leaves that you need to retrieve, once you have assembled the Urn, is now located in the mazes and not just near the Gorgon. Only one has to be retrieved in order to continue on the quest.

After several new runs on the Live version of this dungeon, seems that nothing has changed. Feel free to message or post if you see something out of line or encounter something that is not listed. As always, we appreciate any and all assistance you can provide to making this a great guide.

Re: Illustrated Guide To Tartarus - Final Test Of The Immortal Games!!

I saw where y'all posted you could port into the first 2 being Mount Olympus & Atlantea just not Tartarus. We ran both Suri/Tat & Haley/Katherine thru all of Mount Olympus and all but the Seal Squid in Atlantea and we could not port back into each other in either of those. We had to make mark outside dungeon and get on sigal again and run back to battle making sure no one got on sigal with us as it reset it if we where trying to get back into where one of us was. Is there a way you can port back in? When we tried it said that person was busy. Just wondering if we missed something on how you can port back into those? Would help if we chose to farm in that crazy area as we are getting amber, amber dust and merle whiskers?
      Always your favorite fans!!!
