This project is dedicated to trying to record the variety of Natural attacks that Creatures can use throughout Wizard101. What is a Natural Attack you may ask? If you're unfamiliar with the name, then you are probably instead familiar with witnessing them. A Creature casts their Natural Attack in the duel when they appear in the center of the duel circle and perform a unique animation to attack their target. Just like any other Spell, Natural Attacks have their own Spell card, and they can be revealed with enough patience and dedication.
To reveal a Natural Attack, you can use:
* The Beguile Spell (on Creatures that are not Beguile-immune).
* A damaging Spell that has a secondary Beguile effect (on Creatures that are not Beguile-immune).
* A Monstrological Summoning Treasure Card, created from the Animus of a Creature.
* The Arcane Deduction Item Card, which comes with Sherlock's Eyeglass Wands (Level 100+ version and higher) in the Great Detective Bundle Gift Card.
Over the years, we have discovered that all Spells, including Natural Attacks, that are used by Creatures can have very subtle variations, so when a new Natural Attack for a Creature is revealed, please post an uncropped ingame screen capture here in this thread as confirmation. We do not use placeholders for what Spell card might represent a Creature's Natural Attack.
Instructions regarding Natural Attack screen captures
- Preferably post uncropped screenshots displaying the entire game window. This is primarily to confirm Creatures, location, and that the capture is not from the Test Realm. Screenshots only showing the top half of the battle circle are still acceptable.
- Please confine your screenshots to one image per post. This makes it easier for us to keep track of each natural attack confirmation. Note: vBulletin may combine multiple posts created in succession; in that case, only create posts if you intend to immediately make the necessary edits to the Wiki.
Adding Natural Attacks to the Wiki
- Add the Spell directly to the Creature's page using the Natural Attack naming convention. Note that X-Pip Spells that consume all Pips are ordered at the end of the Spell list; X-Pip Spells with a cap set on the pips (e.g. 3-Pip maximum) are ranked according to that max Pip amount. In the "Summary" section of your edit, include the URL to your forum post. See an example here.
- If the newly added Natural Attack Spell displays as a red link, then the Spell may not be named correctly, or the Natural Attack may be newly discovered!. If this is a newly discovered Natural Attack, please create the new Spell page.
- If no image file for the Spell exists, upload a 127x195 px .png file of the cropped Natural Attack Spell card, applying the appropriate image category in the summary section of the edit. Ex: [[Category:Death Spell Images]]
- If the Natural Attack that you're adding to a Creature is newly discovered, please edit the Spell:Natural Attack page to insert the new Natural Attack Spell.
- We encourage all users on Wizard101 Central to attempt to learn how to edit the Wiki, but if you find that you are still uncomfortable with adding information that you discover to a page, a Wiki-Master or other experienced Wiki contributor will add the information to the Wiki for you.
Thank you for considering contributing to this project
