Because of the quake possibility, I like to do this fight entirely with traps. I use Bastilla's Deadly Choker for the two 35% traps; one 35% death trap on each enemy, one feint on Halfang, one colossal scarecrow and the battle's over . I keep a 60+% Death damage boost and a spare death shield in my deck in case of myth imp. (Gargantuan should work fine too, though you may want an extra death trap on Halfang).

Luckily TC gargantuan are pretty common and super cheap at the bazaar. You do have to be over level 50 or so to even click on it to buy.

Monstrous OTOH pretty cheap as well, tradeable and you can buy it at any level.

I'm sure there are some gear profiles that will give you the extra damage so that feint + strong crow will get the job done on the first pass. The problem with Bastilla's and regular traps is they take an extra turn and it means you will definitely need to blade leaving yourself open to [insert super-annoying myth spell here].

A 75% amulet feint with an 89% gear boost will do that, but you'll need empower if you don't want to have to pass two turns after that.

I'm not sure I understand? Why would you need to blade?
I listed a method for killing Halfang in one scarecrow without using any blades.
And earthquake isn't annoying if you have no blades
Oh, and by the time I've cast one feint and two death traps, I have exactly the right number of pips to use scarecrow. So there's no turn wasting involved.

My method:

Round One: Death blade
Round Two: Death trap on halfang
Round Three: Amplify
Round Four: Colossal Crow

I have native 73% death attack boost, so it's enough for me.
