Belloq is a balace boss with 5280 health. (It has been increased slightly for live, a new cap is forthcoming. )
Cheat: at the start of every turn (except the first) Belloq will interrupt and hit your entire team with a power ra (base damage about 1500, give or take). This costs no pips for him and he will still have his regular turn that round in addition to this. He will say "I thought you came here to hurt me!"
How to avoid this:
If any member of your team hits Belloq that turn - he will not Ra your team at the start of the next turn. This includes being hit with a tick from a DoT spell such as fire elf or frostbite, which means these spells can keep your whole team safe for 4 turns! There are several strategies you can take. One person can hit him with one pip spell while the rest of you get ready for a big attack, or everyone can just plug away at him slowly. Regardless, so long as at least one person hits him (whether with a single target attack or a group attack - both are acceptable now) your team is safe next round. Please note that the minion does occasionally cast a stun spell! For this reason, it's best to either keep a DoT on him so that he gets hit even if you are stunned, or for someone to place a stun shield on the person responsible for attacking each round.
DO NOT HIRE HENCHMEN! For everty henchmen you hire, Belloq will hit you with TWO Ras. (For every attack on him during that round, one Ra will be removed.) Minions, on the other hand, seem to be fine, and their attacks will actually count on Belloq if no one else attacks that turn.
Belloq drops no auction gear, the skink pet, AND the leopard pet!
Update: Thanks to all you test realm players for asking that Belloq be made repeatable! After the test update, he was indeed made repeatable and that has transferred over to live.
As always, if you want help with this boss, just post a request over at the Mercenaries for Hire Difficult Instances thread and we'd be glad to give you a hand!
Also, huge TY to Johnny for the fun banner!
