      Bravo. Inspirational.

Extremely good of you to show us your deck and gear setup. I find that too few actually do that.

I got some pets with may cast deathblade, that with dark pact gives 2 blades fast, if you guess the switch right you can safely attack with 4 blades.

Re: Guide to Soloing Waterworks NO ELIXIRS & NO MINIONS

Hi really nice work on the stuff. PRETTY genuise. I wanted to ask you a few questions if you dont mind. I am a level 60 death wizard as well as you, and i thought you might know if our wraith pets that we get after grandmaster quest can learn the talent Spritely unhatched. Mine is ancient and has yet to learn it and i want it really bad. Also, what secondary school do you reccomend? Right now i have fire. One more thing. I Noticed you kept your deck really simple when you were battling why do you do this? Haha ONE more thing. Sorrrrry to bother. What are your reccomendations for me as a death wizard. Such as battle startegies, proper gear, etc.

1> The wraith pet as well as the scarecrow pet both have not produced any useful skills for me so i tend not to use them. I use my sea dragon for now and am working on the snake in a basket pet from the mega bundle which both give me spritely talent. I could have not done this dungeon without a pet with spritely.

2> My secondary school i normally use is myth because of the death minotaur and the myth amulet. I don't bother with life spells. I would recommend learning stun block and reshuffle. I also went the route of doing ice up to the tower shield (very common) and balance blades. To be honest, I would rather keep shields in my secondary but i will tend to have a few loaded in the main deck.

3> I learned a long time ago that by keeping the deck light and having a few reshuffles on hand, i can pull the cards i need faster. Some people do this and others will tell you its better to load up. Its a choice and one that you can make through experimentation.

4> As far as strategy, I tend to be agressive and will usually keep shields in the secondary deck. I gargantuan as much as possible and rely more on blades than wards. For PVE i will always adjust my deck before each battle based on the school of the mobs i'm fighting. As for gear, learn to craft! as you can see my gear is mostly crafted gear.

Other than that, always read other wizards strategies and play around with different mixes of them to see what best fits your style of playing. We learn from our mistakes so don't be afraid to make them. By being killed now and then, you will learn how not to die.

Re: Guide to Soloing Waterworks NO ELIXIRS & NO MINIONS

i have found crafting the hat and getting waterworks robe is better. i just like the extra death blade. For my ice, I plan on crafting the hat, crafting the iceblade amulet, and getting a pet with iceblade. do you think to do this all those iceblades is nececarry?

I'll be joining tournaments every once in a while, but I guess I'll never be as active as I used to be.

Quote Originally Posted by <strong>mdecx View Post
This is an illustrated guide to completing the waterworks dungeon as a solo player. It is based on the Death school.

First of all, there is a great guide to the waterworks put out by Katherine_Light. You can access that guide by going to http://www.wizard101central.com/foru...d.php?t=161437 The one thing I do not want to do here is to repeat or overshadow her guide unless it is vital to do so. As an example to this, the second hall has clams that must be open (just the blue ones). As many times as I have tried this, I have never been able to do all the blue ones before time runs out. You will battle here!

About the videos: I only uploaded the three most important videos due to size and time. I had to shrink the screen in the final video down to be able to upload to YouTube. The first two are cleaner than the last and all are very long.

The Waterworks dungeon has six minor battles and two major boss battles. All the minor battles can be done easily by arranging your deck before each battle. Make sure you have the proper shields and make sure you load prism cards before fighting any death wizards.

The following is the deck I used for the minor battles.

In addition, make sure you have adequate armor. All of the items I used are either dropped or crafted, I used no crown gear. Here are the total stats of all me gear including my pet sea dragon, Midnight. I did not use my amulet.

The following is the armor I used to solo this dungeon.

The important thing to remember when fighting is not to worry about how fast it goes or how big the hit will be. The only reason you need to hit big is for the drain spells or the final hit. Always keep a shield handy but don’t overdo it. Also, allow yourself to take some damage before hitting with drain spells, but not more than half health.

The first video shows me entering the dungeon alone. You will notice that I rearrange my deck before I fight and at the end of the battle I am at full health.
      YouTube - StartOfWaterworks

FIRST BOSS: Luska Charmbeak, 21k+ Health
At the end of the second hall is, the first boss. He cheats by casting a smokescreen spell (I think around -55 Accuracy but I may be wrong). There is a way to work around this without using elixirs.
Before Celestia, and before they killed the Wild Bolt spell, I could hit with wild bolt the majority of the time with only 35% accuracy. I found that by centering the mouse pointer on the target and without movement, wait and time the movement of the target (they tend to bob up and down). If I fizzled when the target was going up, I would wait till they went down and try again. The key was to wait and not be too hasty. I would sometimes wait till the timer was 10 seconds or less then click, being careful not to move the mouse or it fizzles. I use the same strategy here and it seems to help.

This video is of the battle in its entirety. Remember, I used no elixirs or minions here.
YouTube - Wizard 101 Waterworks SOLO Part 2

THE LAST BOSS(ES): Sylster Glowstorm 24k+ Health
Please see Katherine_Light’s guide for battle strategies.
The last battle is where everything goes to (H E double hockey Sticks) if you don’t play your cards right. I have been here too many times and have had my behind kicked but good. The key here is to be patient and to watch your health or you will surly die. Work on the fire boss first and then work on the Death boss. Once you get down to the final big guy, you will feel very powerful but don’t get cocky. Remember that you can cast AoE spells without penalty.

Here is the deck I used for this battle. I also loaded my side deck up with extra shields for Fire, Death and some Towers for good measure. In addition, I added Triage and Dispels but never used them. For some reason, Cloak didn’t work for me here...

DO NOT CAST A NON AoE CARD WITHOUT BLADES OR TRAPS! The key is to be patient. If you don’t have any blades or traps to cast then dump a card and pull a shield. Watch how many PIP’s they have and be mindful that they will cast some big spells. Scarecrow will be your best friend. Don’t worry if there is no Prism on the Death Boss, unless he’s the last one standing. One more thing, make sure you potion up to full health and mana.

Here is the final battle, ENJOY.

this do not work. i tried this and did excactly what you stated here and still fizz 5 times in a row fighting him. IMO you not fizzling is pure luck. it cant be your accuracy percent cause we have the same percent in that on my death wizard.
