      Multiple blades and traps

I've seen a lot of videos of people using multiple storm blades, fire traps, etc. My question is, how do you use more than one?
I've tried using 2, but it only lets me use one. Do you have to, like, have 5 or 10 at least? Please help.

      Re: Multiple blades and traps

      they use different types.
since the average trap, amulet trap, and tc trap are technically different traps, even if they have the same name.

      Re: Multiple blades and traps

Only same exact stat does not stack. So if you have a fire blade that is +35% and you have a fire blade treasure card that is +40% those will "stack". Also with feints if you put a trap of +70% on and then you do a +75% then you will get the "stack" there as well. so its the same spell jst different "versions" of the same spell.

Technically, it isn't the exact stat that matters, it just has to be a different card. If you used a 35% TC Fire Blade, 35% Fire Blade from gear, and 35% Fire Blade from a pet (just examples, not real) and Elemental Blade (35% Fire included) with a regular 35% Fire Blade, they would all activate in the same move because they are considered different cards. If you use the exact same card (e.g. 2 Fire Blades) they would activate for different moves.

      Re: Multiple blades and traps

Never seen a 35% TC Fire Blade only seen %40, also pet fire blades are a may cast and thats totally different as there is no name for it it just kind of appears (2 of the same pet buff cards E.G. Dragon blade +30% and Dragonblade +30 WILL NOT STACK) also Elemental blade is not called Fireblade I don't know of any pet that gives a Fireblade card.

Maybe I should have named it exact same NAMED stats don't stack but if they are named different even if the same % they will.

In all reality its all about the same as long as the card is a different name or the same name but different %'s then they will all get used up.

      Re: Multiple blades and traps

So, your problem has been that you are using exactly the same trap. You can only activate one trap of the same kind on each turn.

In order to use multiple traps on the same turn, you need to use traps that are different in some way. If you go to the Bazaar and look at the Treasure Cards that are available there, you will often see that there are multiple copies of apparently the same kind of card. A careful examination will show that there are slight - sometimes very slight - differences in the cards. The difference can be as subtle as simply having a little tree emblem (which indicates it is from Bartleby's special collection).

Good places to find different kinds, or variations, of cards -
The Library near Unicorn Way or in Krokotopia, or the Archivist in Celestia.
Try the Crown Shop - the little Crown icon in the top left hand corner of your screen.
You can harvest Trap cards from Gardening - see the Gardening forum for details on what plants drop various cards.
You can trade cards with other players.
A Master Crafter can Craft treasure cards.
Pets can cast Traps, and these are usually different, and so usually will stack with their owner's Traps.

You can also use completely different Traps - for instance you could cast a Fire Trap, a Feint, a Dragon Blade from a pet, and an an Elemental Trap and Elemental Blade, and they would all activate on the same turn. And, if you had accommodating friends, they could help you with Balance Blade, Bladestorm, Hex, and Curse - and those would also all activate with your own traps.

Of course, you could also cast the different versions of each of these that were described earlier - at least three different versions of Feint, several versions of Fire Trap, etc...

      -------
You should also learn the order that boosts and traps activate - it can make a difference in your results, particularly if there are Prisms in play.

Blades and Traps stack up on top of each other, in layers, in the order they are cast.
The order of activation starts with the person casting the spell and works it's way over to the player receiving the spell.
So, all the Blades will activate before any Traps activate because the Blades are on the person casting the spell.

Blades will activate from the inside, progressing outward - the ones cast earliest, and thus 'closer' to the caster, will be the first ones activated. Each Blade will activate in the same order it was cast - first Blade laid down, then the second Blade laid down, then the third Blade laid down, and so on. Always working outward, in the order cast...

When you get to the last Blade cast and activate that, then the control crosses over to the Target, and continues to activate Traps from the outside inwards. This means that the last Trap put into position will be the first one to be activated. Then the second-to-last Trap will be activated. Then the third-to-last Trap will be activated. And, so on, until the very first Trap cast, the one closest to the Target, is reached and activated.

      Prisms

A Prism changes the type of energy that is attacking the Target. A Fire Prism will change Fire energy into Ice energy.

Prisms are useful in three ways:
      1. Get around shields. Many targets (players and game characters both) put up shields to protect themselves.
      2. Get around resistance. Higher level characters have resistance to same-school attacks, and vulnerability to opposite-school attacks.
      3. Increase the number of boosts (Traps and Blades) you can pile onto a target.

      1 Shields
If someone puts up a Fire Shield, you can get around it by putting a Fire Prism on top of that. Since control works it's way from the outside in towards the Target, the Prism will be activated first, and convert the Fire energy to Ice energy. The Ice energy continues inwards towards the Target - but doesn't activate the Fire Shield. So, the Target takes the full amount of damage - the Fire shield had no effect.

      2 Resistance
As players - both wizards and game characters - level up, they start developing resistance to their own school's damage, and develop vulnerability to the opposite school's damage. In Wizard City, there really isn't any difference, but by the time you get to Marleybone, you start noticing that your Fire spells don't hit as hard against Fire targets. And, Ice Targets seem to take a lot more damage from Fire spells. In Mooshu, the difference is pretty pronounced. And, by the end of Dragonspyre, Fire targets may have as much as 90% resistance to Fire damage. And, Ice targets may take an additional 30% damage from a Fire spell.

So, Prisms allow us to work around the resistance that players develop as they Level Up. We just cast a Prism on the Target, and it will convert the Fire energy into Ice energy.

But of course, the target may cast an Ice Shield on themselves...

In resolving the order of Shields, Traps and Prisms, always work from the outside in towards the Target. The last one cast will be the first one activated. The earliest one cast will be the last one activated.

So, generally you want to cast your Fire Prism first, or earliest. Then, cast your Fire Traps on top of that. That way, your attack spell will get boosted by the Fire Traps, and then get converted by the Prism into Ice energy. (If the Prism was on top, the Fire energy would get converted into Ice energy first, and then when it reached the Fire Traps underneath, those Traps would no longer be effective.)

      3. "Doubling Up" on boosts
You can also use a Prism to increase the number of Traps you can use. Suppose you put down an Ice Trap, then a Fire Prism, then a Fire Trap - work out what would happen...

The incoming Fire energy would hit the outermost item, the Fire Trap, and get boosted.
Next, the (boosted) Fire energy would hit the Fire Prism, and get converted into Ice energy.
Finally, the boosted Ice energy would hit the Ice Trap, and get boosted one more time.

for the blades you have to use 2 different types of blades
example one storm blade from school and one storm blade from treasure card or one of those balance school

      same for the traps

You can't have the same types. Like I could use a fire blade, then an elemental fire blade. I can do that because they are a different spell. Hope this helps you.

I found this on the internet classified as 'other'. I think you can see why

we use different cards that have those blades/traps like elemental blade/trap spiritual blade/trap. Everyone wants those cause they give them their school blade.
