Death level 58 Quest & Tips Guide

WARRNING! DONT READ THIS GUIDE! INSTEAD SCROLL DOWN TO THE UPDATE!

When you reach level 58 if yu are a death wizard, you get the message to speak to dworgyn, he tells you to talk to mortis, then back to him. then you must recover the bones of a drake from a 13050 HP boss () with a banshee minion with 1010 HP.
these are both death and are EXTREMELY HARD. they are located in a room in the necropolis, even though there is an instance sigil on the ground in front, you have to solo this boss.

!WARNING!

before you fight him, buy about 10 tower shield treasure cards, 3 satyrs and 2 reshuffles.

Now, deck construction. prepare for the longest battle of you lives. You will need about 3 reshuffles, 7 death prisms, 5 death traps, 3 spirit traps, 4 feints, 4 curses, 6 wraiths, 3 scarecrows and the most important, 3 reshuffles. (OPTIONAL, vengance, pixie sacrifice, and if you train in life ice or myth, earthquake, tower shield, and satyr) now the treasure cards you will need in your deck 7 tower shields, 3 satyrs and 2 reshuffles.

Before this battle you must take ALL blades out of your deck or he will do a 30% boost trap to all spells with an interupt, and when his turn comes, he does his natural attack with 680 damage with one pip. he will do some thing like this for traps but traps are MORE IMPORTANT because he just does a 20% to death spell on the interupt.

GEAR
you should wear the eclipse clogs, the eclipse robe, and the headwraps of the wraith, with a celestia staff that isnt death. the athames and rings should just be the best death ones which are avalible at the bazaar. if you wear a necklace, have it be the JEWEL OF THE FEINT necklace which gives an extra feint card that works with the other one you have.
CHEATS
he will put traps on you when you do a blade or trap, as lited above.

ATTACK STRATEGY
shield with the tower shields or if you add them death shields and spirit shields. then, use a death convert, then a death trap, then a feint, then a curse, then vengance, then a wraith
repeat this until you run out of cards and use reshuffle, . you should have been healed by the wraith.

!WARNINGS!
i do not sugest the use of those people who will take your account and beat it, these people can possibly get you banned for giving away your log in info, STAY AWAY!

UPDATE!
The guide above is a failsafe way, but takes to long. I beat him in about 15 minutes with first, a feint then a convert on the minion. then, i did a few critical and bladed wraiths with converts. he died without to much work. if you aren't that great with power pips, buy a level 20-50 life henchmen and you will have insurance not to die

This is overkill. I added a couple of Life spells to my sideboard (think Leprechauns with tough), shields, and blades. Here's what I used:



The key are the prisms. If you hit with a bladed, prismed Wraith, you'll make back any life you would have earned with a Satyr. Also, I believed I used by GM gear, to boost my resist to Death. I never used the reshuffles.

i think a lot of people are making too big a deal out of the skl dragon boss :\

if you have your grand gear, you already have 40 death resist and all you need for shielding is tower, even with the method by which this boss cheats. But it never hurts to throw in a few death shields

I just treated it as a normal death boss battle and finished it easily with full health (woo, wraith)

Thank you for your guide, I wish I'd had it before I'd tried so many times. I noticed that there was one for most of the other schools. As many time as I did it, I should have taken notes-lol-mayber there would have been a guide sooner.
I failed at least five times, then gave up and bought crowns so I could get henchmen, still failed, on the third Henchmen attempt I got it.
AND after all that was grossly disapointed.

I really thought that KI could have made it a lot better.
A bigger fancier wing spread would have been nice, a bag of bones that didn't look like he was squatting....BETTER GRAPHICS !! afterall look at Ra, Efreet, Medusa, just to name 3.
I use him rarely,(he's embarrasing) Crow and Wraith still my go to guys.

This is about the quest, and not what it looks like, oorah. The battle was not that hard. I wore my grandmaster gear as well, with the exception of my boots. (Wicked Walkers from a quest.) My deck was composed mainly of Wraiths, death shields, prisms, and death blades. (Few centaurs and seraphs for good measure too.)

OFF TOPIC: Oorah, embarressed to see it? Really? Better graphics? Wow. The graphics don't look much different than the other spells. It's a dead dragon, for crying out loud! Oh, and a BIGGER wing spread? I don't know but the colorful MASSIVE blue wings looked pretty awesome to me. Was my favorite part of the dragon. The only thing I would change is the look of the head, and the length of the neck, which I think has nto quite reached what I thought it would be. Wished it looked more like fire dragon :P

ON TOPIC: So yeah, don't over-do anything for a guide. Expecially the part about the Eclipse clogs, and cloak. I really don't think that is necessary. You really need better resist, and the attack on the robe is pretty decent. It doesn't matter how long the battle takes, just complete it nice and smooth. (Personally it took me about 20-30 minutes, and I completed on my first try. I did have the help of an ice minion though, but no damage was really given by them. They just sit there and taunt.) I don't think it really mattered either way, the boss didn't seem to attack much.

Those are my thoughts, but great guide! It helps those that don't know too much about what they're doing.

IMHO this guide is way off you can do it with a standard deck and absolutely no reshuffles and you don't even require any anstral school spells I did it entirely just with death school spells only outside the spirit balance blades/traps.

Stack your deck with the max hex, curse, feint, death traps, spirit traps then death blades and spirit blades and then put in the max wraiths and converts and most importantly max death shields. I used the 7 copy deck.

Use a couple of buffs and a wraith to just take out the minion. If you draw traps or converts toss them on the boss per the recommendation below until yuo get an attack card or a self buff. Or you can do the trick to kill the minion and let yourself die to start the battle just fighting the boss only. I didn't need to do this but if you get a bad draw you may want to think about it.

Start off casting a death sheild on yourself

Second make sure the convert goes on him if he has not had one already tossed on him from the minion kill draws.

Then cast one of each hex, curse, feint, death traps and spirit traps if you get a draw that has none in this then put a blade on yourself from one of the others. You can also use treasure cards of any of these and double stack them all but it isn't necessary at all in fact I did the whole fight without a single treasure card.

Each of these will cause him to put a debuff on you don't worry about them at all you will literally get otthe point they circle you about 3-4 times around your guy and can't tell what is on you.

Anytime the boss attacks you put on a new death shield he only attacks with death spells so this shield will take care of all attacks. A shield with his debuffs and traps on you only take off about 200 damage per attack and it usually takes him a good 4-5 turns to get to an attack.

Repeat the convert and trap stackings as you want I did it about 3 times and any time I coould not put down a convert or trap I wanted I just put a blade on myself.

Most of this stacking takes no pips to one pip per cast so you should be at full pips in no time. Then do 2 back to back wraiths and then one more turn you should be able to do a third and probably will have killed him with just 2 attacks.

By doing all attacks at the end you avoid him healing himself and making the fight longer.

If you get low life in the middle of the battle just attack and use up on stacked set of buffs/convert/traps and you will assuredly heal yourself back to full health as I was healing back more than 5k per stack.

I actually made a checklist of what I put on him because your traps on him kind of overlapped and I got confused as to what I had on him at any given time but it wasn't a big deal at all.

The only thing is be ready for a looooong fight.

Your joking...right? This boss was one of the easiest fight's ever. You have no need for satyr, you heal with wraith. All I did was take out the minion with a prism and a feint. After that I just bladed (normal and spirit), prism, feint, death trap, wraith, repeat. Did this 3 times and won, all there is to it.
