Exclamation Death lvl 50+ How to set up for lone boss fights

THIS WORKS FOR ALL WORLDS EXCEPT FOR CELESTIA! THIS WORLD I USUALLY PLAY WITH A FEW FRIENDS OR FAMILY AND I MIGHT POST ANOTHER THREAD TO GUIDE YOU THOUGH BOSSES IN CELESTIA. ALSO DOESNT WORK WITH SOME BOSSES WITH A LOT OF HEALTH AND THROW A LOT OF SHIELDS. FOR THOSE BOSSES YOU MIGHT WANT TO JUST DO YOUR OWN THING.

You don't need a high lvl spell deck or a wand for this.

If you are fighting a Boss with a minion, this is what you need to do:

1- Take all of your spells out.

2- In your Tresure Card part of your deck, put in some converts (optional)

3- Put in 1 of each:

      - Death Blade
      - Death Trap
      - Faint
      - Scarecrow Card
      - and Triple Blades for Death, Life, and Myth

4- Buy a amulate from the Marlybone vender called Bastilla's Deadly Choker and equip it.

5- If you have it, put in a reshuffle just in case.

6- If the minion has too high of health, you may need to put in a second trap and/or faint.

      In the fight:

1- Put all of your traps and Blades on.

      2- Attack and watch.

If your Boss does not have minion:

1- Do all of the above but instead of Scarecrow, put in your Wraith.

      In the fight:

1- Put blades and traps on.

      2- Attack and watch.

If you have any questions pm me.

Re: Death lvl 50+ How to set up for lone boss fights

I am afraid this does not work with all mobs in Celestia.
They tend to spam weakness, tower, and a lot of the mobs have health 1800+
Also, That will take forever if you just crow the boss to death. Most bosses have 3k+ health.
And not all people have reshuffle and spirit blades trained.
I prefer to just death blade then crow to kill the minion. Then wraith the boss with death blade and feint.

Okay.. I have to agree with Amber. No offense, but if you use crow repeated times, then you WILL eventually run out of mana. Due to the fact that some bosses may have the ability to heal (or use wraith, ghoul, vampire, etc.) and it has been known to happen for them to gain their own health back.
As Amber had stated, not everyone knows reshuffle or has the amulet for it.
Also, she mentioned the spirit blades - some people prefer not to train that spell, since their secondary spell may not involve myth or life, even if it was able to boost death. Some may choose to train in the elemental blades instead for an ice, fire or storm school.
Honestly, you are really better off using Vampire and Wraith over and over, rather than crowing alone with the traps and/or blades.
Now.. Speaking of Celestia with that technique, it most likely will NOT work, since the bosses are total cheaters and tend to shield more (if life, balance or ice) and life bosses tend to heal, as well as the life minions. Plus, if you came in contact with a myth boss, the chances are that your blades are going to disappear if they use Earthquake.

Re: Death lvl 50+ How to set up for lone boss fights

If we add a few additional blades and traps, AND put a few Keened Wraiths in Sideboard, this strategy works in CL also.
A fairly effective deck for CL mobs is 3 Death Blades, 2 Spirit Blades, 2 Death Traps, 2 Crows, 1 Wraith, 2 Keen (the astral version), Wraiths from robe and pet, Bastilla pendant, 2 Feint, sideboard with Keened Wraiths... and sometimes a few shields.

I also usually carry a Sacrifice, in case someone needs a heal.

This set up may be a little big for some, but it is small enough that I usually have what I want in hand, andbig enough that I don't need Reshuffle.

EDIT: Now that I am wearing crafted level 55 gear and have Bone Dragon, I am again experimenting with deck construction.
4 Blades, 3 Spirit Blades, 3 Towers, 2 Bone Dragons, 2 Gargantuan, 2 Feints, Wraith from pet, 1 Treant morph, and Wraiths is sideboard is working fairly well.

Re: Death lvl 50+ How to set up for lone boss fights

All I really have to say about this is not to give certain specifics about how to take out bosses or minions. If anything, it's about adapting to what you need to do. I'm not saying this guide is bad in anyway and it's a good outline, but I'm just saying that wizards, namely death in this case, should just figure out a strategy that works for that wizard. Not every wizard plays the same way and I'm sure there are many ways to take out a boss efficiently.

I know this from experience as I have soloed every bit of this game on my first wizard.

      This is correct
Building your deck is something you're supposed to do constantly to fit different situations, as well as switching gear such as Amulets and Wands. It is not that difficult, you simply have to take into consideration the number of enemies, the spells they use(specially buffs/debuffs) and the health of each one of them; also, make sure to take down minions as soon as possible as Bosses lose most of their effectiveness once they're alone.
