The Greatest Adventure

Rate this Entry
I have never written a blog before. But, I thought I would give it a try.
We will see how this goes. What direction this will take, and how long this will last.
I love wizard101. I love the adventure and excitement and challenge it is.
It is a nice escape for me, but, it isn't everything. I have family and trials and challenges and adventures outside the game.

Trying to think of how I wanted to start this, I realized that just how new this it to me.
One song that I always loved is "The Greatest Adventure" by Glenn Yarbrough.
Rather fitting, and always inspiring to me.

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead
Today and tomorrow are yet to be said
The chances the changes are all yours to make
The mold of your life is in your hands to break.

The greatest adventure is there if you are bold
Let go of the moment that life makes you hold
To measure the meaning can make you delay
It's time you stop thinking and wasting the day.

A man whose a dreamer and never takes leave
Who thinks of a world that is make believe
Will never know passion
Will never know pain
Who sits by the window
Will one day see rain.

The greatest adventure is what lies ahead
Today and tomorrow are yet to be said
The chances the changes are all yours to make
The mold of your life is in your hands to break.

The thing to remember is that an adventure isn't always going somewhere grand or doing something amazing. It is a journey that changes something. It could change how we see the world or ourselves, how we interact with others, how we dream. It is something that will likely give us new memories.
An adventure can simply be going out of your way to say hi to someone. It is just doing something that you don't do every single day.
So, yes, this blog is an adventure for me.
What kind of adventures are you on right now?
