But you only have two spells that could heal you (not including Pixie). I don't prefer Life as a second school this way. If not you might want something hard-hitting. I would choose either Storm or Fire. My Myth Wizard has Fire as his second school, it hits hard and it doesn't fizzle as much as Storm. WizardKenneth 11-11-2008, 09:53 PM I had Balance as a secondary to Myth in beta, but found I didn't use those spells that much. (Why use Sandstorm when you have Humongofrog?) So this time I chose Storm and really like it. It's interesting having two schools which are "opposites" of one another, and I love casting boosted Storm spells when I'm up against Myth-resistant monsters. Yeah, Storm might fizzle a bit more than other schools -- but the damage it causes more than makes up for it. I think another good choice for secondary to Myth would be Death, as you get health-stealing spells like Ghoul and Vampire. (Death is much better than Life as a secondary school, imo.) You'll be without any elemental shields with that combo, but can always pick up amulets when you get to Krok. alex_firebreath 11-25-2008, 01:50 PM Myth/Death is a combo I enjoy alot. Nicole 11-25-2008, 01:58 PM i would suggest death and maybe life reason for this being -if you look at the balance blades and buffs death and life are with myth so if you buy the one for myth you also get the ones for life and death and so by doing these spells you have buffs for all your magic! Ormarr 11-25-2008, 04:10 PM I started my Myth Wizard 4 days ago and already hit 26 today, for my secondary I did choose life. Life as secondary is very safe but painfully slow in combat, you rely heavily on your minion. Sometimes I don't get a minion card in the first 6 rounds but usually I am still at full health at that time but after my minion is out it's pure pain delivery to the enemies. Those 2000 HP bosses in Beguilers Tomb stand no chance but it can take 20 minutes :) Up until now it's a solo monster, and for grouping you can always take a good support role thanks to the life secondary. After level 15 it got very easy due to Zeke's Gear, I added more pure defense based Cloth, like the robe which gives you three 500 Point shields, the hat with 200 Heal over time and the shoes again with three 500 Point shields. You dont have a minion card at start of the combat? No problem, build up pips, most of the time I had one when I got the 4 pips for max Zyklop. You are low on Health? No Problem, throw yourself a heal or two. You are very low on Health? No problem, shield yourself (with 6 cards from cloth and 2 in the deck, you have at least 2 on the hand) and then heal yourself. Your Minion got the aggro? No problem, shield and heal him. Most of the work is done by the minion, but I usually can throw in a couple of attacks too. If you like fast paced combat, this isn't the secondary you look for, but if you like it very safe .. welcome to life. Spirit Armor, and Sprite are the only two (besides pixie) life spells that I use, plus the death/myth shield you get from the girl at the fair. As stated before, it's a solo monster. I have been able to solo everything so far except grimash or whoever he is that you summon in the entrance to the krokosphinx (rank 4 boss (minotaur) with two rank 3 guards). The fights can be long, but I win :P The play style is pretty much how it would be in a party as a support person. I get my pet out and then either keep myself healed and shielded or keep my pet healed and shielded, depending on who is getting beat on. Many boss fights are simply a match of surviving long enough for the minion to take down on of the enemies, and then we pound the last guy, heh. It's pretty fun and I'm looking forward to getting my next minion (minotaur) to see how the strategies might change, as I hear he mostly just taunts. MadNoodler 01-01-2009, 09:28 PM Hi, my Myth wiz went Myth/Fire and Balance. I have solo'd entire game up to Marleybone Clocktower West. Took all my bottles and a reentry to complete East but doable solo. Myth is strong in early levels with pets. Later, i find that i barely use them unless in a dire situation. I use zero pip pet(living puppet) more later soloing non boss parts. Fire is a great secondary due to it has very little resist when needed to use it. PLus, Fire Elf fire damage over time is a savor for only 2 pips. Effect boosted later with fire trap. Balance is not needed but i took it to Weaken spell for damage resistance. Also, fighting Myth mobs, Scorpion works well in place of Troll spell and having to use Myth Prism all the time. Only time i have really get close to dieing is due to pet fizzle percentage seems high. I use Cyclops minion on bosses and they fizz alot so i only tend to use 2 pip version and resummon if needed. If you have no clue about the game don't speak. Those shields from life are called Absorb. Look it up theangusorbigmac. You make yourself look bad when you try to humiliate someone and know nothing yourself. You fail horribly. Per posted below by biggabe, lol i really have heard both but when i read your post i was like awe man i should have looked it up... but i too am lazy. But i know i have seen it called both as you mentioned. Myth/Life seems to be pretty fun so far, and I bet he'd be amazing in parties :laugh: Mark Dragongem 08-13-2009, 09:24 AM I have a myth wizard and I chose life up to satyr for healing in battles and duels then chose ice up to tower shield for shielding during duels and while doing towers than used my other taining points for spritblade and spirit trap..And I used my remaining training point for sap power XD Hyperdude 08-13-2009, 09:34 AM Life is always the best secondary in my opinion.
