View Full Version : Treasure cards required to craft items?
sassymom25 07-01-2009, 07:38 PM I didn't do the crafting on the test realm because of the bug so I didn't really check out the things I could craft. I was in WC looking at the housing items I can craft and found something I like, except that it requires a treasure card as an ingredient. So really if I want this item I have to get someone to craft the card for me? Or hope that I get really luck and receive it as a drop? The idea of crafting is steadily going downhill for me. :(

You can get treasure cards at the bazaar. So you don't have to get others to craft them for you.
sassymom25 07-01-2009, 07:47 PM Oh, yeah. I forgot about that. But still, it seems a little much on crafting these items. I think it would be a lot cheaper and a better use of time to just get the money to pay for these in a shop than spending the time crafting them. Oh well. Thanks for the reminder.

The selection of treasure cards at the Bazaar is NOT that extensive.
The fact is once players take the time and money to make the really good ones there is no way they are going to sell them to the Bazaar!
So your still going to have to take a LOT of time...and money...making the treasure cards you need.
Some of these special craft items require more than 2 or 3 treasure cards...and I really doubt that you will be finding enough...or even many of these crafted treasure cards for sale in the bazaar!
Oran Jade Hunter 07-02-2009, 03:45 AM Are these treasure cards one's you can craft yourself?
The trees in Ravenwood now have that available to any wizard.
Like if you need a fire treasure card go talk to Bernie and get that recipe, I would think it would be there.
Just a thought.

Unfortunately, you can only craft treasure card from your primary school.
Oran Jade Hunter 07-02-2009, 03:58 AM Well then that's a tough one.
Only thing I'd do would be to network some friends, see if there is something you both need and help each other.
Thanks Zach
Sophia Dreamrider 07-03-2009, 05:57 PM I am really bummed about the treasure cards. I also carry a few sprites to heal other players, or myself for that matter in a pinch. Now if you are defeated in a battle and don't have a life wizard in the mix, you might as well leave the battle. Not much hope for healing....
SwiftLeaf 07-04-2009, 10:20 AM Where can we go to get the Ice treasure card recipe?
Sophia Dreamrider 07-04-2009, 10:43 AM The Trees for each school in Ravenwood has the recipes for that schools treasure cards. You have to buy them....and you have to buy them in the same order you train the spells.

Kelvin, the ice tree in Ravenwood, sells the ice treasure card recipes.

Actually you don't have to buy them in order. As long as you are skilled enough, you can buy the recipes for the one's you want and not the ones you don't.

This is so true. what happen to putting in a rare shop with treasure cards?
ladyblue80 07-04-2009, 02:01 PM Crafting for me is not high on my fun list. I think it takes up a lot of time and money to make things that you may not even use. I think they should bring the treasure cards back to the libraries. That's just me though.:life:
LuckieWabbit 07-04-2009, 03:04 PM This is really ridiculous......
Looking at this card crafting just from the point of view of somene who simply wants to craft one item...the carousel..... :twocents:
Besides having to earn all the crafting badges needed to be able to get the recipe and actually craft the carousel I need a ridiculas amout of expensive and hard to find items....then I will need cards.
These cards are going to be a big problem and PAIN....because first off you cannot make the cards I am going to need because I am NOT from that School.
I will have to find someone willing to trade cards with me so I can get the ones I need. Now the both of use will have had to earn our crafting badges...AND bought all the recipes......and now you are telling me that we both will also have to make these cards in a specific order (working our way up in card crafting like you had to do in wizard school with the spells) to the point that we can craft the cards we need to trade with each other....????....!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!!!!! :wallbash:
Has anyone told the people at Kings Isle that this is supposed to be a fun game NOT a lifetime commitment????
ironhawk 07-04-2009, 05:47 PM I think many wizard learn crafting because they wanted to craft the carousel
or other furniture item and not to craft clothings because they are lame in my opinion.
But the requirement to craft furniture especially carousel is very very hard that i think
only a very dedicated Myth wizard will be able to craft a carousel. Wizard from other
school seem impossible to craft one unless they are very lucky or have a lot of crown.
Let me explain:
To craft a carousel we need 8 [eight] Earthquake treasure cards.
Earthquake treasure card made with enchantments doesnt count.
Only Earthquake treasure card from boss drop, crafting or booster
pack allowed here.
A dedicated Myth wizard can craft earthquake TC. Very hard but still doable.
While a non-Myth wizard need to be very lucky to get 8 earthquake TC from
boss because it's ultra rare or need a lot of crown to buy booster pack over
and over and over again to collect them all.
So I believe the requirement to make carousel and other furnitures are not
fair and treasure cards shouldn't be in the recipe.
Fred Firepants 07-04-2009, 06:09 PM I just want them to let ANYONE craft cards from ANY school. That way I could craft a few if those Satyr treasure cards... >_>
Sarra 07-04-2009, 08:17 PM Maybe it is because I am an older player, from other online games, but I feel that it is a good thing that some items will be really difficult to make. I guess I like a bit of a challenge too. That is also why I farm bosses: to get rare drops to put in my home.
If everything were easy to get I do not think I would enjoy the game so much. Maybe your goal to craft one item is the wrong approach. Perhaps it would be better to find a person that is a dedicated crafter and support their efforts to rise to the point of crafting a carousel, especially because you DO want only one item.
I want many items and because I was on test I managed to gather earthquake cards before the patch. Now there will be other requirements to craft the carousel, and those will be hard to get too, but I plan to craft more than one carousel in my scheme of things.
Surely there are other crafter types who plan on the same thing?
And I am a storm wizard, not a myth one. I will NOT let the cards required keep me from making what I want.
Lifewiz123 07-05-2009, 11:30 PM Yes i am disappointed to, but i know what you can do
find friends that have these cards in their deck not as treasure cards and get them to use keen eyes and make the treasure cards for you.
if they say yes of course.

You can not use treasure cards created with keen eyes or tough to craft with.
They must be dropped, crafted, or purchased from the bazaar.
HamHamJ 07-06-2009, 12:15 AM The fact is once players take the time and money to make the really good ones there is no way they are going to sell them to the Bazaar!
This depends entirely on how much you get for selling them to the bazaar.
If a crafting system is to work, people need to be able to craft as a way to earn gold. Then they have an incentive to make all this stuff that other players can buy and use.
So it all hinges on whether the Bazaar is able to support a functioning economy.
EDIT:
And after some checking, my answer for now is no.
The prices you can get for treasure cards are far, far too low. I can get all of 5 gold for an Imp, which is ridiculous since it costs a minimum of 20 gold to make. And the Sprite (I think) was at 80 something when it would need to be like 500 gold to be profitable.
